Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am more interested to study automobile engineering so I have choosen lpu and srm colleges but after my lpu nest results were declared I had an idea of getting into lpu for bachelors.timings for examination would either morning 9 to 12 or from 1 to 4 that's totally a different situation in winters to get up and walk to exam centre.

Internships Opportunities

4

At Lovely Professional University (LPU), internships are an integral part of the academic curriculum, providing students with hands-on industry experience. Here are some key points about internships at LPU. LPU has a dedicated placement cell called the Division of Career Services, which works to connect students with companies for internships and job placements. The university partners with numerous national and international companies, which allows students to intern in various sectors like IT, finance, management, engineering, media, healthcare, and more. Summer Internships: Often held between academic years, these internships last 1-2 months and provide short-term exposure.

Placement Experience

4

From 5th semester students become eligible for placements.my plan after my degree is to start a custom automobile garage.the highest package for students is about 64lpa and average package for students is about 8 to 14lpa

Fees and Financial Aid

The total amount of fees for a year is upto 240000.But after writing lpu nest I have got 45% scholar ship so after that I am paying 140000 for a year including 8000 for exam fees.some of the students might get higher scholarship some might get lower scholarship it totally depends on how we are going to attend the lpu nest exam.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is so interesting in lpu so many people from Campus life during a degree program can be a vibrant and transformative experience, often remembered as a unique time of personal growth, learning, and building connections. Here’s an overview of what students typically experience: 1. Academics and Learning Lectures and Classes: Classes and lectures form the core of campus life, with a variety of courses and electives that allow students to explore and deepen their knowledge. Libraries and Study Spaces: Libraries are central hubs, offering study materials, computer labs, and quiet spaces. Group Projects and Presentations: Many courses require collaborative work, allowing students to engage in teamwork, problem-solving, and public speaking. Access to Professors and Resources: Campuses offer office hours, academic counseling, and mentorship opportunities for students needing extra support or guidance. 2. Social Life and Networking Student Organizations: Clubs and societies are popular for interests ranging from sports, arts, debate, technology, and cultural organizations. Events and Celebrations: Cultural festivals, talent shows, sports events, and holiday celebrations help students build connections and take breaks from academic work. Networking Opportunities: Interactions with peers, faculty, and guest speakers can create long-lasting networks useful for career development and personal support. 3. Personal Growth and Independence Living on Campus: Many students experience living away from home, which promotes independence and self-reliance. Time Management: Balancing studies, part-time work, and social activities teaches students essential time-management skills. New Experiences: Exposure to diverse ideas, cultures, and worldviews encourages students to question, explore, and form their own opinions and value. Campus Health Services: Many campuses have medical and counseling services to support physical and mental hea

Hostel Facilities

4

Rented accommodation around colleges is a common choice for students who want more independence or can’t live on campus. Here’s a guide to what students can expect from renting near college: Apartments: Many students rent apartments near campus, often shared with roommates to make it more affordable. Apartments offer a balance of privacy and convenience. Houses: Off-campus houses are often rented by groups of friends or fraternity/sorority members and are ideal for those wanting more space. Studio Apartments: Some students opt for studio apartments, which are small, self-contained units suitable for a single person who prefers privacy. Shared Rooms or Flats: Shared rooms or flats are often cheaper than solo rentals and are popular in high-demand college towns. Rent Costs: Rent prices vary widely depending on the location, the distance from campus, and the amenities provided. Rent near college campuses tends to be higher, but splitting the cost with roommates can help. Utilities: Utilities like water, electricity, and Wi-Fi may or may not be included in the rent. It’s essential to check with the landlord to avoid unexpected expenses. Additional Costs: Besides rent and utilities, students should budget for things like groceries, transportation, laundry, and any building maintenance fees that may apply. Proximity to Campus: Many students prefer accommodations within walking or biking distance to campus, especially if they have early classes or late-night study sessions. Access to Public Transport: In larger cities, being near bus or subway stations is useful for students without cars. Nearby Amenities: Grocery stores, coffee shops, and libraries nearby add to the convenience of the location. Some areas around colleges even have student-friendly spots like cafes, laundromats, and gyms.

Admission

Basically I have only applied for lpu and got a seat with scholarship so I have not choosen any of the other universities for my bachelor's.if not lpu then I would definitely be studying in srm University thats for special interest in automobile designing.

Faculty

I think the examination system is a bit different compared to our college in our States it looks quite often for some exams we need to write both discriptive and objectives and for some subjects there will be either discriptive or objective it depends on subject to subject.

Night Life

4

College nightlife is often a lively and integral part of the student experience, offering ways to socialize, unwind, and explore new activities. Here’s a look at what nightlife around college campuses can entail. Student-Friendly Bars: Many college towns have bars and pubs that cater to students, offering themed nights, karaoke, trivia, or live music. Nightclubs: Dance clubs are popular for students looking to socialize, dance, and meet people from campus or the community. Drink Specials: Many venues near college campuses offer affordable deals to attract students, like discounted drinks or happy hour special. Concerts and Open Mic Nights: Colleges often host concerts, open mics, and DJ nights, providing safe and fun nightlife options without needing to leave campus. Movie Nights and Game Nights: Student unions or residence halls sometimes organize movie screenings, video game competitions, or board game nights as relaxed evening act

Over a crore package too have been inked form LPU, CSE and that itself is more than enough to justify my call to Study here. Highest package was of 1.03 crores and average still stands at 8 lakhs around. The big thing is nearly 2500 students in CSE and still all are finding a shot to try for placements.

Mid cap to large cap, every company that can afford our students services are invited to our university for hiring students. Thus far nearly 500 organizations have been invited to our university and a good bit of placements percentage is also there. No students of our university recruited have come under fire and therefore the companies which have laid faith in LPU students have kept hiring year after year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I went for CSe bcz it has best career scope. The curriculum is comprehensive but a bit heavy. It touches almost all topics but didn't go deep into latest tech like AI or Cloud computing, which was a drawback. Improvements? Definitely the teaching style. Some profs are good but many rush through the syllabus to finish it. They should include more project based learning instead of just theory exams. Exams are manageable. We have typical sem system. Timing is predictable but sometimes the schedule is very tight with no gaps between papers. Difficulty wise its okay, most students study a week before exams and manage to clear them.

Around 600 recruiters so far has hired students from LPU. Not just domestic but even international names have hired students from LPU. So, I don't think one even has to look beyond LPU for that matter. I am happy that students from here have got the opportunity to work in their dream companies and soon I will be giving interviews as I am also in my final year now.

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.
