Likes
- Professors are good. While not all are best, many are still good. They’re well informed about about the subject and implement it in their teaching.
- Great library. You can find many books/reading material you want for your studies.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure sucks. Most fans don’t work and classrooms get very hot in summers. Benches are uncomfortable and even broken in many classrooms. For english, there’s no large enough dedicated room to contain 60-70 students.
- Washrooms are in horrible condition. They need grave improvement from college.
- Canteen tenures change often and you never know which canteen is fine and which is not. Sometimes it has been horrible other times it has been great.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was enrolled in the CBCS course which is more relevant as compared to NEP so I didn't have major problems. However, it would be much better if college allowed free choice while choosing DSE. University of Delhi has more about 10 options (give or take) but college offers only 4 that too in combinations and we have two choose from these 2 given options regardless of what other DSE options we might be interested in. We can't even change the subject combinations and are left with no choice but to study something we don't want to.
Fees and Financial Aid
Educational cost is minimal and affordable. Financial aids and scholarships are also there for underprivileged sections. Campus employments are negligible for my course. Most placements are for commerce fields.
Admission
Admission process was really smooth. Delhi university's website handled it all as i didnt appear for any entrance exams. I was sent an email from the college once i was enrolled and eventually the course started.
Faculty
Most faculty is well educated and takes efforts in teaching. They're also approachable and keen to help out the students in their learning. the student-teacher ratio isn't great. One professor for 60-70 students isn't right. Instead, they should make 2 sections wherein 35-40 students should have 1 professor.
