ASSAM UNIVERSITY REVIEW BY ITS OWN STUDENT

The course has its own relevance as it is a professional degree. The cirriculum is well designed for the students to make it interesting. The curriculum prepares us for real world experiences as it contains practical knowledge which helps the students. It gives ample kowledge to the students for their betterment. But. it does contains some flaws as there is some attendance system containing marks, not releasing marks timely, taking exams without any prior notice, etc. The teaching methods could be better with new faculties should be brought. The frequency of exams is also being poor. There is no proper duration between two exams.

The tution fees is one of the highlights of the college. Here, the tution fees is very low compared to other colleges. There is less hike in course fees and has neither any hike policies. You can complete your degree in around 2-2.5 lacs. The college also provides varoius government scholarships for needy ones. There is less scope of campus employment.

The campus life is average to good. There are various events such as AUSKRITI, AUSLYMPICS, GAMUSA(local festival), and much more. The central library is also big and spacious and contains millions of books. Every classroom has smart board and wifi facilities. The campus has Cricket field, Basketball court along with Badmintoncourt. It has indoor complex building in progress.

Hostel facilities are good too. They comprise of both single and double rooms. The rooms contains cupboards, table, chair along with bed. It has generator and wifi facilities. Meal Quality is average. For hostels, you have to apply in administartive office and if you are lucky, you will get admission as there is some shortage of hostels. But, you can stay in rented homes or PGs available nearby.

If you are to take BTech, you have to take admission through JEE exam. Then, you have to sit in either Josaa or CSAB counselling. From their you can take admission or from spot counselling. All brochure is available at university's website. The timing of exams is good not best. Admission process is good but it can be better by university assisting the new students.

Faculties are knowlwdgeable. The faculty to student ratio is around 1:30. The learning experience is about average as there are some who does not give proper marks to the answers in the exam. Their credentials and their approach is noteworthy as they give their 100% to teach the students. You can interact with tw=eachers sometimes as some time they are not much responsive.
