My review for my college Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology

Since the college is Autonomous, the curriculum is upto date which made me choose this course in this college. Compared to other courses, this provides me with real time application in a well structured manner. There are 2 continuous assessment tests and an end semester examination per course. The exams are okay ish spaced and well conducted. Exams questions are of moderate difficulty and can be easily solved with increased knowledge depth.

There are in-house internships provided by the professors to selected students in certain areas. Internships are offered by various companies in all departments during different semesters and the students are selected on the basis of their skill level and academics.

From S6 the campus placement starts. There is a training and placement unit in out college to help students to get placed in good companies. The placement statistics shows that over 270 students were palaced from the campus. Companies from CSE Dept : Experion Technologies, Federal Bank, H & R Block, Hacker Earth, Humanitarian Technologies Lab, IBM, Intellipaat, Intrainz Innovation Private Limited, Mitsogo Technologies, Nissan Digital India, Skillwinner, Socius Innovative Global Brains Pvt Ltd., Speridian Technologies Pvt Ltd., Tangentia India, TATA-ELXSI, UST, etc

Tuition fee averages to 85k to 90k Students can avail scholarships. College provides scholarship based on KEAM rank and also to the students on the basis of yearly performance to the Sem topper. There are also memorial awards and scholarships to those students who have excelled in various fields.

Students clubs include : Photography club - FRAMES, Google Developers Students Activity Clubs (GDSC) MBCET, DEBATE CLUB, NATURE CLUB, Public Speaking Club, MUSIC CLUB - RAGAM, Performing Arts Club, Foss Club, Creative Writing Club, Yoga Club, Theatre Club, TENZORS Club, Open Lab AI Club,etc

50% of the seats are reserved for allocation on the basis of KEAM/JEE rank by the government. There are reservation benefits in the seats reserved by the government, like OBC, SC, ST, EWS reservations. There is a strict cut off on the basis of your 12th marks for physics, chemistry and maths in addition to your KEAM rank

1:60 is the faculty to student ratio in per course per class in Computer Science and Engineering Dept. This is a very good, manageable and maintainable ratio. Faculty are seasoned and experience professors who has indepth knowledge in their area of expertise. Their mentorship is applaudable, they are supportive and respects the boundaries. Professors are easy to approach and they are very helpful.
