Maitreyi College had a great infrastructure and providing great facilities to all departments,had a great garden area and hygiene maintained college
Campus was amazing, all societies was very nice, very opportunity full college and great student as well as teachers union
My department is science so I can say that teachers was literally amazing and they had such a great knowledge

I think I hate attendance criteria bcoz sometimes I think according to lecture duration , no. Of attendance is low

I chose bsc zoology hons and I really appreciatey course bcoz the way our department teachers explain was absolutely amazing, practical was well explained and every facilities was available to all and they are actually skilled full personalities

Fees and Financial Aid

I think fees was according to your course which was selected by yourself but some scholarship are available but you should be aware of it bcoz faculty was time bounded and they are quite strict to time management

Campus Life

I love my campus actually, campus was really amazing, it was good and very big actually, it was totally amazing and societies was also good and so much dedicated so if you are interested in any society you ll get so many exposure

Admission

Common University entrance exam was the only criteria for admission bcoz it is mandatory for all du colleges and you should be prepared for every single stuff. If I talk about examination so it was quite on level bcoz if you studied well so you ll be able to achieve good marks

Faculty

Faculty members are really literate and such a skilled full personality, they had so much experience and great knowledge about their field, very well and disciplined nature and I really appreciate our college faculty

A great learing experience- my college review

Course Curriculum Overview:

I didn’t get into medical college. The curriculum is not that good in my course. Practical should be more focused and research papers. Timing is just 2 hrs for core paper many students exam are left for writing in short duration

Ignou: Flexibility And Disappointment

Placement Experience:

Placements in IGNOU are quite limited compared to regular universities. Since IGNOU is an open and distance learning university, it does not have a strong campus placement system like DU or private colleges. There is a Campus Placement Cell (CPC) that conducts job fairs and recruitment drives at some regional centers, but these are not very frequent and mostly depend on the location. Usually, students who are in their final year or have completed the course can apply, but there is no fixed semester rule since the system is flexible. The companies that visit are not very large in number and vary every year. Some private firms, NGOs, BPOs, insurance companies, and small IT firms have participated in the past. The roles are generally entry-level such as sales, customer support, data entry, insurance advisor, or junior IT support. There are very limited opportunities for core mathematics or research roles through placements. As far as packages are concerned, the average package is usually around ?2.5 LPA to ?4 LPA, but since IGNOU is an open university, it cannot be expected to have the same placement levels as regular colleges with full-time classes. Also, the percentage of students placed is very small because most IGNOU students are either working professionals, homemakers, or people preparing for competitive exams, so placements are not the main focus. Many students use the degree as a qualification while pursuing their own career path outside. I am currently in my 2nd year, so I do not have personal placement experience yet. The data I have mentioned here is based on internet sources and feedback from other IGNOU students. From what I have learned, placements exist but are very limited, and one should not rely only on them for career building.

The reason for the choice of course is ofcourse personal interest also, research work in chemistry is highly interesting and also has scope in fields like chemical engineering,forensic sciences etc. The teaching methods are really good and the books prescribed are available in the libraries. I have applied to aryabhatta College before Maitreyi College for Women. So comparison to this college Maitreyi colleges stands out on various aspects:- Before 2024 the admission process is entirely dependent on merit list and the cutoffs.
