Likes
- Low attendence policy.There is literally zero attendence policy for most of classes which saves a lot of time.
- Intelligent crowd.Most of student have cracked competitive exams like jee etc with great percentile.
- Crowd variety.The students dont just have acedmic knowledge but also have different skills.
Dislikes
- Salt lake campus.The main campus is much better than the salt lake one in terms of everything.
- Felt like a school.The salt lake campus feels like school as there is less crowd as compared to main campus.
- Very less area.The college area of salt lake campus is very less as compared to main campus .
Course Curriculum Overview
I will say the overall ciriculum is great.We get enough time between exams because of that exams dont get hectic.Also exams are not that enough,Most of the questions come from previous years.Overall the ciriculim is great nothing to worry about.
Internships Opportunities
There are big companies like texas intrumentation etc for core and microsoft etc for software.There were also other big companies but they have reduced from the previous years.But still overall the placement opportunites are great.No doubt about that.
Placement Experience
The placement opportunity is great as compared to other colleges.Although in the last few years the placement has definitely gone a little downwards but its still very good.So if u are a good enough student with a good cgp u will get placed no need to take stress.
Fees and Financial Aid
Except for the it branch (whose fees is 60000 per year], the fee structure is great . The fees for other courses are under 15000 per year which is great .Also there are schoralships for bengal residents as well.Also the hostel fees is very less.Anyone can afford it .Overall there is almost zero financial burden to anyone coming.
Campus Life
The campus life in salt lake is not as great as main campus.Although enough fests are held in salt lake itself but the overall student interaction is much greater in main campus as compared to salt lake.So for main campus the campus life is awesome but for salt lake its not that great.
Admission
They usually have a entrance exam called wbjee.I come from schoralship in which only my board marks were considered so i didnt know much about the cutoff .But i think if u get above 96 percentile in wbjee u will get admission in some brach of jadavpur university.The admission process for me was online i dont know much about others as i didnt give the exam.
Faculty
The faculty is very intelligent and interactive.The faculty to student ratio is also very very good.Also as the batch strength is not very much so doubt of each and every student gets cleared.Also the faculty is very very friendly .They clear each and every doubt u have.They even clear our doubts outside the class hours.We can even message some teachers if we have some doubt.Overall the faculty experience is great nothing to worry about.
