Jadavpur University -The best Tier I college of India

For myself after getting a good WBJEE rank; chooses to study Civil engineering in Jadavpur university as these course motivates me a lot to make structure and designs of heavy buildings which are upstand on the earth for even more than thousand of years. Our Curriculum should be updated by adding some Artificial intelligence and Machine learning programs with some 2-3 days workshop. Exam dates are decided by our college but the sequence i.e which subject is conducted on which date is decided our all departmental CRs(Class Representative) . Exam here in first year completed in 1months but from 2nd year exam are completed within 2 weeks.

As I am in second year I have little experience in that, but majority of the software company which came to our college like Google, Amazon Wells Fargo, Disney hotstar gives SDEs roles. Accenture gives Analyst role. Airbus gives System engineer, Skywise enginner, etc

Placement is very good in our college with 96% overall placement in 2023 session. From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placement. Thera are more than 100+ companies visit our college like Google, Amazon, Wells Fargo, Disney &hotstar , Deloitte, PWC, Airbus, Accenture, Samsung, etc giving 1250+ offers to 1000 students with Highest package from IT department (Google -1.8 Crore) . Average package of CSE and IT is 20lpa, for EE , IEE and ECE it is 16 lpa. The rest of other department have a average ranging from 10lpa to 8 lpa. Me after completing my degree eagerly waiting for a job in my dream company AIRBUS or PWC.

There is no college in India which can complete 4 year engineering degree in just 10k other than Jadavpur university, Kolkata My tution fee is being waived off due to me coming from some economically weaker sections. We also no need to buy books from outside as our college library has self sufficient books. The scholarship available here are 1. JU Alumni scholarship - One time scholarship of Rs 5000 per year 2. Freeship - Those who came from economically weaker sections there fees are totally waived off Our college has 96% placement with some departmnets like CSE,IT, Mechanical,IEE, ECE, Civil, Production,Power have 100% placement in the yaer 2023.

Annual fest is Sanskriti and technical fest is Srijan which was held in March-April month every year . I literally enjoyed a lot. About 1 lakh books and journals are available in our college library and accessible to all . There is a digital library which gives acces to more tha? 2 lakh books. Classrooms are well furnished and air conditioning with Aquaguards for pure and cold water in summer and warm water in winter. Every sports is played in our college like Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Tug of war, Kabaddi and others There are lots of students run clubs in our college like IEEE JU SB, E-Cell, Finance club, Mechtronics clubs, AI Mantle Club, etc and dozens of other clubs which helps me to develop my personality.

Hostel fees is just Rs25 per month Mess charges for one month in the hostel is Rs 2000 There are 2 meals one in 10 AM and another at 8 PM. Quality of food is so good . Both time vegetarian and non-vegetarian items are there. For hostel accomodation the hosue must me more than 200km and havinga income of less thn one lakh per year

Admission here is done by WBJEE only. Interested candidates should give the exam and thereafter Counselling is done. Here is the list of category wise last rank to get a seat in Jadavpur University General - 5k OBCa -7k OBCb - 8.8k SC - 15k ST - 25k WBJEE application forms started (wbjee.nic) in the last week of December and ended upto 3Rd week of January. The WBJEE exam held in the last Sunday of April and thereafter results comes on 1St week of June Counselling starts from 2nd week and full fledged classes started from first week of August. WBJEE exam consists of 2 papers Physcis& Chemistry - Easy to moderate level Mathematics - Moderate level to some time hard level(level is higher than JEE mains Math )

The faculty to student ratio is 15:1 for which it's became easier for us to solve our doubts. A group of 8 students have assigned a mentor who continuously help the students to do well in academic as well as mental health. There are some offline session with our mentors weekly so that ; the mentors also keep a track of records.

No, there is no Group Discussion and Interview. Interested students required to give WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam) and secured a decent rank (GMR - under 3000) to get admission in Jadavpur University.
