Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

In today's time everyone is doing BTech . I think 3 out of 5 students are doing just BTech . They don't want to study but they have to .in cgc colleges exams conducts on time and their level of paper is not so hard but upper average . In exams questions were asked which we studied in class .

Internships Opportunities

2.5

College provides intership after 2nd semester and then after 4th sem and so on.. . Companies are not good which are come in college. They just time pass in college. There is an intership training on web development and we have to make a web page

Placement Experience

3.5

In cgc placement is quite good enough. There are around more than 8k job offers by our college. This year almost 70 % students are placed. But in recession time these will be decreased. My plans is join a good MNC company which will give a more than 12lakh per year package.

Fees and Financial Aid

When in join cgc in 2022 college tution fees was 95000 per year but after 1 year they increases it to 130000 and this is very large amount to increase fees in just 1 year. Complete cost of 4 year education including everything is approx 9 lakhs. Currently I am in 2nd year so I don't know pretty much about placement and internship.

Campus Life

4

My overall experience is good. The big annual fest is parivartan which a 2 day event and in this event many colleges students will take part. In libraries there are very vast number of books and journals. There is very old models of computers used in cgc coe. And classrooms infrastructure is not so good. There is a vast varieties of Sports available in college but there is a timing issue for playing these games and dayscholars are not allowed to play or even enter the college campus after 4:35 pm.

Admission

Admission process have two methods online admission and offline admission. You can go to main campus and fill a enquiry form and then you will have to fill admission form and have to pay in 10000 for reservation of your seat . Same process is followed in online but your mode of payment is online

Faculty

3.5

Faculty to students ratio is very good . They doing doubt sessions regularly only in 1st year but When faculty is absent no other faculty is come on time . Some faculty members qualification is very good that even many faculty so their ohd degree and many of them are currently in process but some faculties who are freshers doesn't provide so much effectiveness to students.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
