Course Curriculum Overview
I am doing B.tech CSE and i only choose this course because i have great interest in coding and in this college you easily understand coding languages like C++,Java,Web development,etc. The areas for improvement are the extra subject which we have to study and have no use in future like EVS, Human values, etc. The timing of exam was generally 3 hours which was enough for a student on the basis of difficulty level of the exam.
Internships Opportunities
The companise like cognizant, codevita, TCS, etc offered the students for internship with stipend. The companies want your own project which you make, like any website, any design, any code cracker, any application,etc.
Placement Experience
The placement of the college was all good but the college only offers you placement if you not have any back in the examination. From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Amazon, Wipro, TCS, Microsoft was visited here and these college offers more than 1000 of offers for the students. Highest package of year 2024 was around 54 LPA. Almost 70% of the students get placed. My plan after getting the degree is to work in the reputated company.
Fees and Financial Aid
We paid approx 1 lakh 35 thousand per year as tution fee. 10000 extra charges for activities. 2000 Registration fee. This college offers scholarship for those student which belongs to punjab and have low family income. For availing scholarship you have to gave a test(easy level). The annual fee after scholarship is totally 40000.
Campus Life
The college conducts events like fresher party, parivartan and many more events. The college conduct events on festivals like lohri, diwali, holi, new year. The range of books was around 2000-3000 in one library and the environment of library was good and silent which was best for study. This college conduct many sport's event like Cricket, Football, Weightlifting, Modeling, Dancing, Acting, Anchoring, etc. Yes any student which have capable and a good leader can run social groups, clubs or student portals. It does not gave more impact on theis student life.
Admission
I applied for thappar university, patiala but on basis of my jee mains result they offers me mechanical branch in which I was not interested. My jee mains percentile was 86. The fees structure of these college was less as compared to other colleges and it provides better knowledge and have good infrastructure as compared to others college that's why i choose these college on others. The admission process was direct admission on the basis of your 12th marks which was have to above 75%. The college conduct only a scholarship exam for punjab students which has low family income. The cutoff the exam was around 60-70%
Faculty
The ratio of faculty-to-student is 1:10. The relationship between the faculty and the student was so good like no student disrespect the teacher in the class. The teacher also talk politely to all the students in the classroom. I like the gitesh sir which is my maths teacher because its teaching skills was very impressive and easy to understand. I didn't like our PPS teacher named Mohammad Amman Khan just because it speak very slow and his teaching skills was not good at all There was 4 semester exams which was conducted by PTU(Punjabi technical university) the level of the paper was easy to moderate. Almost 10-20% of the class was failed to clear the exams.
Interview Experience
No this college take no interview, group discussion or written test for admission. You can take direct admission on the basis of your 12 result. In 12th you have must to get above than 70% to get admission in these college.
Night Life
The college have three gym in each boys hostel and 4 cafeterias, 5 library and one central library and have public areas like park, ground. The hostel timings for boys and girls are last 7:30 at night to visit in college campus after that nobody will come out of the college until get permission from his/her parents. The famous hangout places in the college is chai vyanjan, Nescafe and food court. The locality was also safe to roam around at night. I not hear any case of kidnapping and rape in this college so it is completely safe.
