Course Curriculum Overview

There are Alot curriculum activities going on regularly. Difficulty level of exams is moderate. Question Paper of Semester Exam is Provided bt Punjab Technical University. Average Timing of each Lecture is around 50 Minutes.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 550000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Currently im in 1st year and haven't applied for any internships yet. But internship forms and links come out on regular basis. Some of my Friends applied for internship and they were asked for normal work like rearranging things etc.

Placement Experience

From 7th semester Students are eligible for campus Placements and Internships. Famous Organisations which come to are college in seek of students is Amazon, Infosys and TCS. Percentage Required for Placements is around 75%.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Fees of my college per semester is 65000 and yearly it goes 130000. Modes available for payments are Credit Card,UPI,Net Banking,Cash. Scholarship are based on the ranks of JEE and CUET,JEE and Entrance Exams. Max scholarship which you can get is aroud 50% on your course.

Campus Life

Social Life of my campus is really really awesome, Our Campus got multiple shops and food trucks inside which provide really good food. There Are Really Big playgrounds for playing. Students can also walk in it. Campus have a basketball court,Volleyball Court, Badminton Court, Table Tennis Arena,Cricket Pitch,Football Ground. You Enjoy your Social Life Alot as there are multiple events which are going on regularly you can also participate in them for social interaction.

Hostel Facilities

The Name of Hostel is Sukhmani.It got 9 floors and students per room are 3.Recently Some rooms got upgraded with air conditioner and luckily i got one of them. Food of out Hostel is average and the serve 4time in a day, They also provide Non vegetarian food once a week. Fee for normal room with a cooler and fans is 130000 yearly. Fee for air conditioned rooms is 140000 yearly. And our Hostel is Ragging Free and Warden is really sweet and supportive. Our hostel got its own gym in which stundents can workout.

Hostel Fee: INR 140000 per year

Admission

The Process of admission in this college is very simple. You just have to fill the form and provide the documentation you are asked for. After all the paperwork you have to submit your registration fee and thats it. Its Simple isnt it.

Faculty

Faculty and Teacher of COE Landran are good. They are Helpful and provide everything related to study. They Provide me Pdf of questions,Regular Homework. There are 3 Exams in Semester MST-1,MST2 and End Semester Exams. Marks of MST are calculated for internal Marks.

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events

Placement cell provides opportunities but the stronger industry connections.

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

Dislikes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time

Gym is provided but only for name, no fame , always full

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

I applied for thappar university, patiala but on basis of my jee mains result they offers me mechanical branch in which I was not interested. My jee mains percentile was 86. The fees structure of these college was less as compared to other colleges and it provides better knowledge and have good infrastructure as compared to others college that's why i choose these college on others. The admission process was direct admission on the basis of your 12th marks which was have to above 75%. The college conduct only a scholarship exam for punjab students which has low family income. Honest ???? review

I am choosing this college because for engineering degree many colleges asked for our jee score and I'm not given my jee exam due to not having preparation of syllabus and on that time there is criteria of 75% above for applied for filling the jee examination. And I'm not fulfilled this. So that's why I need one best private college for my bachelor's which is fit for according to there academics, placements, campus environment, etc overall good . So I find this is good. There are so many others private colleges are there but there fees are not budget friendly for any middle class student. In CGC College of engineering there you can take admission by two methods :- 1)One is through ptu councelling:- if u are take admission through ptu councelling then there is relaxation in fees then ur academic fees is around 20,000 l/sem. 2) other one is through direct admission. There is no specific criteria but you have to score 70% above then you can get admission in any stream that you have to desire.
