Course Curriculum Overview

5

Due toh this Trending of computer technologies . I'm also influenced by these technologies and take admission in BTech -computer science & engineering. According to my review the academic curriculum of first year of engineering in computer science are not prepare you for real world example like subjects chemistry, workshop, Physics , engineering drawing, etc are not relevant for a cse students. In the case of improvement they have to change there first year academic curriculum mean there they add some programing subjects and designings of websites. The frequency and timings of exams according to there difficulty level are good. There is MST 1 ,MST 2 in which there is cover up half and half syllabus and then last one is your final examination where whole syllabus you have to prepare.

Internships Opportunities

5

Companies example like infosis, tech Mahindra, paypal, etc offered for many roles example like for HR department, Software developer, frontend developer, backend developer, web designer, etc. I'm not sure about the stipend. Projects which are related to current technologies are necessary for ur internship/job interviews

Placement Experience

4

From 5sem students become eligible for campus placements Following companies are visited for placement: tcs, infosis,Nokia, tech Mahindra, paypal, phonepay, etc I'm not knowing which company offered which package But I'm knowing about the average placement package of cgc landran is 5 -6 lpa and highest I think according to 2024 is around 54 lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure for engineering students in this college is around 65,000/sem . Registration fees at the time of booking your seat in the college is 11000. The fees of hostel is as 65,000 for two seater. And the fees of yearly are around 2 lakh 1.8lakh( including college events charges which are directly added in your fees). And the fees of other courses of bachelors are less than the fees of engineering stream . There is no fees relaxation according to your caste management (SC/ST/OBC) But there is relaxation only and only for those students which get admission through ptu only councelling.

Campus Life

4

Parivartan is the national level event of the college which held in the end of the every year. There are so many events like fresher party, science day event,ai expo drone event, and other so many events according to respective blocks are organised in the campus. The range and accessibility of some books are not very well ... But in the college libraries there is not enough books of some subjects like mathematics In the extracurricular activities our college organized some events of game time to time like basketball tournament, cricket tournament, weight lifting competitions, kabbadi tournament, etc many more . There are many clubs in the college example like some related to tech related and other some related to non technical which are run by the students

Hostel Facilities

3

They provide one bed,one chair table, one almirah, one ac according to ac rooms m The quality of food are not 5 star means it is well to eat. Some times quality are very good but some time quality are very very poor. Registration process of hostel is very simple if ur admission is successful then u can talk about hostel in the registration block or in the office of hostel. Hostel fee of one sem is around 65000/sem (excluded electricity bill). There are so many pg in the surrounding of the college

Admission

I am choosing this college because for engineering degree many colleges asked for our jee score and I'm not given my jee exam due to not having preparation of syllabus and on that time there is criteria of 75% above for applied for filling the jee examination. And I'm not fulfilled this. So that's why I need one best private college for my bachelor's which is fit for according to there academics, placements, campus environment, etc overall good . So I find this is good. There are so many others private colleges are there but there fees are not budget friendly for any middle class student. In CGC College of engineering there you can take admission by two methods :- 1)One is through ptu councelling:- if u are take admission through ptu councelling then there is relaxation in fees then ur academic fees is around 20,000 l/sem. 2) other one is through direct admission. There is no specific criteria but you have to score 70% above then you can get admission in any stream that you have to desire. There is no entrance exam and I'm not confirmed they accepting jee score or not .

Faculty

4

The faculty and student ratio is good and the faculty to student relationship is like a parents - child .if you can find any doubt them approach to faculty they helped you. All the faculties of My 1st sem are very good, coperative and helpful I liked very much. In my first sem Maths faculty is good but students can't coperate with them due to this there is nothing balance in concepts of math And due to this there is mass supply . There are majorly three types of exams Two are MST(mid sem test) :- MST1& MST2 and students internal is based on there records of MST's. Third exam are final semester examination. Exam are of moderate level only if u can revise previous yearly question paper then you can easily pass the final examination

Night Life

4

There is gym in every hostel whose opening timings are from 5 pm to 8 in evening and in morning 6 am to 8am Central library are open on holiday also till 6pm There are around 5 boys hostels and 1 girl hostel The outpass timing for hostel students for boys are till 8pm and for girls are 7:30 PM. College timings are from 9:15 am to 4:35 PM . Following are the list of famous hangout places:- Chai vyanjan Samosa express Chutur putur Singh's Rools Nescafe stall Etc The locality is safe to roam around at night

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
