Course Curriculum Overview

I was a student pursuing 3 year B.Com degree. Now it's a 4 year programme. B.Com is a must for any commerce students before joining any other specific field. It's like a backbone for future . Specially for Accountant related jobs. The timing of exam is 3 hours per paper . It's enough.

Class Size: 527Course Fees: INR 11060 per year

Placement Experience

As per my experience , it is best to get a job after passing 6th semester. Both for learning & knowledge. It would be a little average to Join a job with zero knowledge. I already got the degree and now am preparing for Masters.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees should not be more than 7000-8000 for bcom. Though There are scholarships, but there are other expenses like for books copies & stationery as well so a scholarship may not be cover all if all the amount goes to the admission only.

Campus Life

there are no such cultural events celebrated in this college. Nothing except a lot of career counseling programms , Saraswati puja and annual function. In my 3 years of experience , I didn't witness a single festival or cultural activity being celebrated.

Admission

A person has to be 12th pass to take admission in BCom. And in Sivanath Sastri College the cutoff goes up to 80% for general category students. Admission process is all good in my perspective. Though exams should he taken in 6 months .

Faculty

4.5

Faculty is very helpful towards students. Specially teachers in commerce section are gems. They help you , guide you with potential notes and anything they can . I have been a Sivanath Sastri Student . And my B.Com days were the best educational days.

Placement Experience:

Placement Experience:

It is a 4 year programme which offers placements. But if someone doesn't get direct placement they are still skilled enough to get a job off campus and it can go from 6 LPA to 12 LPA. If the performance is very poor they can't go to the 4th year.

Umesh Chandra is not a good college don't take admission there very poor infrastructure

I choose the four BCom Honours in accountancy and Finance because I grew up in a Commerce background household and all my family members are BCom graduate and I want to be an investment banker with SAP schedule on my degree that is why I choose this code and talk about the faculty student ratio the faculty was good according to the number of students present in the class and in the college the qualification for the faculty is very good teachers are very nice and friendly but I don't get to understand what this week due to me not knowing Bengali so called language barrier was present exams and all were followed by the Calcutta University curriculum in 75 is to 25 ratio 75 marks paper from CU and 25 marks from the college itself 5 marks for attendance 10 marks for internal written test and 10 marks for MCQ

Do Right Things Now For Your Future

Placement Experience:

After 4th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Out of the companies some of them are Institute of Charter Accountancy, Institute of GST ETC. They give us some packages for jobs. Like the highest package is about 50000 rupees and the lowest is 15000 rupees. Only few studets get chance in this companies. Like 5-10% students. I want to be a bank manager so i just keep my study moving on.

Moderate College Life.

After HS I applied many colleges but I didn't got chance at the top notch colleges as they damand more marks than I got. After trying so many colleges I finally got admitted to this college.
