Likes

This college has three libraries which is great for the students as they do not have to buy too many books as they'll get most of them there.
The playground is a great and fun place to hangout with friends and chill out during breaks.

Dislikes

The authority can be a bit irresponsible sometimes.

Course Curriculum Overview

I like to read about people and human psyche and fantasy too so that inspired me to choose this course it's also a very versatile one to do one can go to any career path after this course plus they can do any entry level job.

Class Size: 67Course Fees: INR 25000 per year

Placement Experience

From sixth semester, students become eligible for campus placement and workshops and programme opportunities... 40-50 percent of the students get placements. However my plan is to do LLB after this course.

Fees and Financial Aid

You gotta pay 8,000 rupees for each year and 350-450 rupees for exam fees for B.A courses you can avail scholarships too if you're eligible for it the most common one is svmcm scholarship or sc/st/obc scholarships the least amount would be 12,000 rupees each year.

Campus Life

Three colleges have the same building so especially in this college almost no festivals or events are held we do get a lot of holidays but not anymore kinda program or festivals. There's a wide range of books for every subject in the library.

Admission

I chose this college as this is a pretty famous one in Kolkata plus it's an infamous college for bcom honours course however I chose english honours plus it's close to my place which is a plus point. The admission process is also very easy it's merit based.

Faculty

There are six external exams and six internal exams in total.. and six projects as well.. also the exams are quite hard but not so if you study well and the faculty to student relationship is also pretty good they're quite approachable and helpful..

Night Life

Our college is a morning college so I don't really go there at night so often however within 9pm I guess the libraries and the canteen closes. There's this really good cafe actually there are a few good stores and cafes so after getting out of college there are lot of places to hangout.

We were held a class for upto 1hrs, thus we had 4 class a day. Sometimes it is boaring sometimes it becomes striking, it depends on the mood. It is to say little knowledge is a dangerous thing, if you don't read you cannot pass the semester examination. Although it will provide you a second chance. But with change of syllabus the exam pattern also change. You need to attain a total percentage of 75(%) to maintain you honours subject otherwise you would be regarded as programme course student.
