Likes

Cooperative teaching and non teaching staff
Library services are available and we can take books from library in a very convenient manner
Lighting facilities are quite good which leads us to use fans and Ac's during summer times

Dislikes

Infrastructure needs some improvements towards the main building
Canteen can be improved for better eating facilities

This course what I am doing needs some more attention as they don't see this course as good as they take other courses of like honors courses.we can also get very good skills from this course but it really needs some improvisations

Fees and Financial Aid

Yeah the fee structure is very feasible.As it is a government college so it doesn't not ask for much fee . There are different scholarships like NSP, PMSSS and this college also provides you with a facility of fee concession.

Campus Life

This university is known for its fests and societies.Every specific field has its own specific societies which work upon on your skills, personality development and many other aspect which you should build during college years .Sports activities are held and many colleges have respective grounds to play and practice

Admission

For UG you should have completed your 12 th class and passed it with atleast 75% . You can apply through CUET and you can get further details from its college sites You just have to know the basics of your field,it's not that tough exam And some General knowledge questions and aptitude test is also a portion which you need to pay more attention

Faculty

The faculty members are quite qualified and cooperative toward students.They are very experienced for this job .Their teaching style is very creative and they also take feedbacks from students .They keep an eye for the betterment of every student who comes to class.They are very informative and they always try to make class interactive and fruitful.Some teachers do need some more trainings to be more creative and so that their way of teaching does not feel monotonous

Kamala Nehru College: Where Opportunity awaits

Likes

I really liked the environment of the college as there was a diverse set of students coming from across the country.
The faculty was top notch and was very dedicated and knowledgeable. If we faced any issue they would come up to help us deal with it.
Also i liked the infrastructure of the college as they recently added a new building and have improved a lot in sports equipments and facilities.

Dislikes

The admin section of the college is very slow and it is a hassle to deal with them. Half a time they are either on a break or on lunch.
There is sometimes non availability of chairs in classrooms like there are approx 40 chairs in each classroom but if the strength of the class is more then we have to borrow it from the next classroom.
Also you will have to take up some additional course which sometimes feel unnecessary but its not only in this particular college but in all the colleges under University of Delhi.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

My college was a girl's college. There are maximum 60students in a class. Prints were quite cheap in the college cafe.
There were many fest functions in my college. I also participated in the dance fest in my first year. We also used to go on picnics from college.
India's chief guest at the annual function was M Venkaiah Naidu.

Dislikes

College fees were very high for general category people.
The behavior of many teachers was quite rude and arrogant as if they were teaching us for free.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

Infrastructure of the college is very up-to-date.
College crowd is very active and diverse, giving opportunity to learn and explore.
Teachers are very well educated and friendly towards the students.

Dislikes

Sports facilities at the college need to be improved.
Few teachers methods of teaching are traditional and outdated.
There is strict criteria for attendance, to maintain 66.7 percent

Placement Experience:

Final your students are eligible for the campus placement. Companies visited are HDFC Bank, Zomato, Swiggy, mahindra,EY, Deloitte and others. Highest package was around 30 lacs per annum and the average package is around 4 lakhs. Job profiles were mostly business analyst, research and development, PR and others. I will prepare for civil services examinations after clearing my graduation.

Likes

Our placement services is efficient and effective which always comes up with quality companies in terms of employment and package.
We have solid infrastructure which includes medical rooms, basketball ground, main ground, fest ground etc.
Our faculties expert in their teaching of respective subject where the teaching method is technology based and mentorship quality is demand based

Dislikes

Our course curriculum is relevant but sometimes it lacks little practical learning.

Placement Experience:

Student set in the placement from 5th semester where where is companies visited college for the campus placement such as KPMG, Zomato Deloitte, etc and number of offers made were not explicitly disclosed by the college and highest package was 25 lakhs and average package was 4 lakhs and profile offered were finance, marketing, etc around 70% students placed from my college and my plans after the graduation is to pursue PHD.

Moments of happiness

Likes

I liked the ration of girls and boys it's almost same .
The teaching method of teachers and the library.
College infrastructure and various opportunities and sports ground .

Dislikes

Events in college are usually too short like till 5 pm only .
Classes starts at 8:40 in winters atleast it should start by 10 .

Placement Experience:

English hons is not a course in which placement is that widespread as far as I'm aware . But our college provides placements for other courses like b.com etc and we have placement cell which keeps updating us on internship or placement opportunities and overall package is quite good .

KMC in my words

Likes

I liked the environment and the crowd of the college, and also my professors. Like seriously they are so helpful and kind
Also what I like about this college is that it's liberal unlike other colleges of North campus
I love the ashoka lawn and the big ground in front of the gym

Dislikes

I hate the staff, especially the technical staff ( Ankita Jain ), I went to her with erp portal issue and she just didn't look after my issue properly and sent me away. It was totally unexpected. She must be removed from her position.
The canteen staff, I didn't like their behaviour
Some of the seniors are shit and not helpful

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate it 9 out of 10. The reason is simple, whatever my professors teach and everything that is there in my syllabus is really helpful for my future. Not just that, they way lectures are delivered by the professors is just awesome

Hostel facilities are really good as it is vibrant and safe and the mess food is really good

Infrastructure is not that good, college is a non dusu affiliated

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Likes

College provides a free environment for sports.
It is ragging free college and many anti ragging laws are here
One of the best features of our college is it in origanising seminar time to time.

Dislikes

There is a issue in time table uncertain classes are a problem for us
So high attendance criteria makes us in trouble.
There are not hostal facility which make a critical situation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course because I want to become ias.approximately 100students in class . . Many proofesser are highly educated like PhD ma etc our faculty offers many opportunities.There are 6 semester in 3 years and 2 in each year .it is normal to crack the exam but hard to get High marks

Ramjas the heaven on earth

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.

See...I kept Hindu college as my first reference in CSAS portal, and KMC was my 3rd preference after St Stephen's. I kept around 36 colleges with different courses. The reason I didn't keep KMC below all the colleges that I kept below KMC is because of it's upper edge in terms of academics, faculty members, location and their ranks. After I got KMC, I was really happy and when I realised that the possibilities of me getting Hindu or St Stephen's College were less, I was bit upset. But my sadness didn't last long cause later on after researching about KMC in detail I realised that it's no different from all the other colleges of North campus and some of the south campus colleges. KM COLLEGE - FILLED WITH COMPLAINTS ?

I chose it over others since it's the only north campus college with a good reputation and name providing Political Science Honours other than Hindu college , I preferred Hindu over it but due to inadequate marks I couldn't qualify for Hindu . And being a male limits my scope of availing colleges like Miranda House or LSR . My journey at Kirori Mal college

Ok so I have a whole journey of my admission process . In the first round of my allocation i got confirmed admission in hansraj college for history hons then I applied for upgradation n then I got miranda house for same course but I was not happy with my course n then in round 3 under cw category I got pol science hons in kmc college I know I have already got good colleges in initial round but for my preferred course I decided to sacrifice my colleges . The admission process of kmc is quite smooth like within half of a day I got my admission confirmed there n even after coming late they reopen their erp portal for choosing different papers for those students who got upgradation in later rounds ....Read More

KMC is Karizmatic!!

St Stephens as for BSc it is arguably one of the best colleges of DU. The cut-off was just missed by some points or else, i would have been there. College wise we are also among the best and to get admissions here, CUET (UG) and then once the results are out, CSAS portal is where i registered. I booked my seat through there and locked ut before it was gone. Yes, sometimes we miss out on our favourite college due to that but it is inevitable to lock that on time as well....Read More

Nice internship opportunities with good companies
