What i liked the most was how professional the professors are, as architecture is an professional course itself hence they give a lot of exposure aswell
Security is also a major factor as it is an all girls college security is pretty tight.

Dislikes

Work pressure. Honestly the work pressure is alot but once the submission and jurys are over it feels worth the pain

I am starting my second year in upcoming months so i may not have the best knowledge about the internships But i do know that internship placement rate is good as all the 4th year seniors have gotten an internship

In the 4th year, (8th semester) the complete semester is about internship that you get through the college itself on the basis of your portfolios and grades. The placement rate if the college is overall very high. My plans after getting the degree are firstly, i would need a 2 year experience in job then i would complete my masters

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The tuition fees alone is 95000/- per year. In igdtuw the course tuition fees is much lesser than any other university. However the stationary is a little expensive. Igdtuw also provides scholarships which can be of great help for the needy ones.

Campus Life

As an architect student my college campus life has been nothing short of inspiring and enriching. The unique blend of creativity collaboration and exploration within the field has made my experience truly exceptional. Collaborative studios architectural wonders and enriching opportunities have fueled my passion and growth. Furthermore the campus life offers numerous extracurricular activities and events. These activities not only expand my knowledge but also provide a platform to networkand establish connections.

Admission

I got into igdtuw through 1st cutoff by clearing JEE B.Arch 2023. My percentile wasn't very high it was somewhere around 84-86. But i had sc quota which made the selection much easier. My sc rank was around 500. Students can also get admission through nata if you have a good score.

Faculty

I feel like the faculty we have here are very professional and their expertise and guidance have had a significant impact on my learning journey infact i still have a lot more to explore. Some faculty members also stays back just to help out the students which i find very helpful.

Interview Experience

Not actually a group discussion or interview but all the documents were checked by university's administration. If you are from delhi and have any quota like sc st obc there is a higher chance of you getting into the college even if you haven't scored quite a lot. Its harder for girls outside delhi to get into the college because it is a renowned technical university.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course teaches you how to design various aspects of buildings which is a very important skill for architecture student. the curriculum is okaay but its outdated now with advance skills demand in the field the curriculum is not sufficient. if the curriculum intoduces some new advance parametric modelling courses it would be great also the curriculum should stop hand drafting as it is not required anymore and its tyring too.the exams are moderately difficult but its not like you can't pass the exam with proper notes u can excel the exam easily also your work should be presentable and well thought when you present to the jurors, the quality of your work really makes your marks.

Placement Experience:

There is a yearly examination pattern in BArch so around after 4th yr student. In architecture, companies are mostly private companies visit for recruitment are Kumar murti associates, cp kukreja, etc. In starting students get a salary package of around 3 to 6 lakh per annum. Around 60-70 percent of students get placement. I'll go for masters after getting a degree.

TRUE COLLEGE EXPERIENCE

Remarks:

This is a really awesome college to study in and if you want to pursue B.Arch for sure, then this is the best place. However, the infrastructure of the college should be developed as it small making it one of its major weakness to be an good architecture college.

For admission to our college, we need to score a good percentile in JEE mains examination which is generally conducted twice a year. First, you need to apply for the exam through the official website of NTA. In our college 75%seats are reserved for Delhi candidates and the remaining 25% are for outside Delhi candidates. And another caste-based reservation is as per the rules. In order to get admission to IGDTUW we need to apply for JAC(Joint Admission Counselling) which is based on your JEE mains score. I applied to the colleges under the JAC portal by the government. I wanted the b.tech in the ECE and only IGDTUW provided me with this stream, also IGDTUW has excellent placement and internships drives. Yes, I availed of the SC quota, and during the process of verification, the documents were verified by the concerned authorities. I got admitted through the Spot counselling process. Marks depends upon the yearly cutoff given by the jee mains. The admission process was very smooth. It was an online counselling process, and a detailed structure was released by the JAC portal and accordingly I located my rank which fell under the IGDTUW. Further, I reported offline to the mentioned location on the website for document verification and admission. Also, this was back in 2017 and seeking the present day scenario, students must regularly visit the JAC portal for the further information if he/she wanted to pursue b.tech from Govt. colleges from Delhi....Read More

Ins and outs of IGDTUW

Colleges applied- JAC Delhi(DTU, NSIT, IGDTUW,IIITD) , ComedK(all colleges), UPTU(all colleges) Reason for not attending- Comedk is an entrance exam for colleges in Bangalore, the location was not very convenient for me to travel plus they were private institute. JAC Delhi provided me better opportunites there. No quota availed- Outside Delhi candidate JEE mains scores are the criteria for admission for JAC Delhi.
