Course Curriculum Overview
the curriculum focuses on real world design problems, critical thinking and other software skills that are going to be useful in the professional field. but in this era of artificial intelligence, there is no academic upskilling with AI right now. professors are working on incorporating AI with the curriculum and it will soon be incorporated.
Internships Opportunities
in b.arch program it is compulsory for every student to do 6 months internship at the end of 5th year. this internship is a part of the curriculum. the students are recruited for internship on the basis of the thesis that they do in the first half of there 5th year.

Campus Life
the events like onam, Diwali and Eid take place on the fastivals in the department itself. the students can access the library books anytime when the department is open (till 5:30pm) but you can not issue them for home. 1st and 2nd year students have normal classes without AC but for some subjects the classes with projector or TV are accessed. 3rd,4th and 5th year students use in computer labs(with AC) as there classroom. jamia has it's own sports complex which can be accessed by all the jamia students.in the sports complex students can play badminton, table tennis, basketball, volleyball, football and cricket.every year inter-faculty takes place around January to February.
Admission
this is the college that i wanted to take admission in, because jamia is at rank 7 in architecture school all over india including private colleges and taking about Delhi this is the second best college, and another important factor for choosing this college is its super low fees compared to any other architecture college. to get admission in jamia Millia Islamia, b.arch program you have to be 12th pass with science stream (PCM) then you have to give the national aptitude test for architecture(NATA) and fill the regression form of the college from the jamia website. the admission will be granted on merit bases.
Faculty
the faculty to student ratio is 4 professors over 40 students. every student is approached by the professor personally and they discuss there design problem with them. the faculties i like are our design faculty dr. mohammad saquib arts faculty dr. mohd. arshad ameen structure faculty dr.adil ahmed and a lot more like them, they talk like they are not professors but your friends, we can ask them any doubt without hesitation. there are 2-3 sessionals in the whole year and the final exam in the end
Night Life
the gym is only accessible to students who are in the jamia team in any soprts. the library (ibn sina and zakir hussain library) is open till 12 at night, accessible to every student. canteens are open till 9:00pm. some of the famous hangout places are central canteen in north campus, castro cafe in south campus and community centre (CC) in new friends colony (NFC). jamia campus is safe to roam for the hosteller at night.
