Course Curriculum Overview

4

I'm a language student and the thing that influenced me to learn this korean language is obviously he culture, music and the way they speak their language captured my attention which made me opt for this course which is provided by JNU. The demand of language student is rapidly growing in our country as a korean wave getting popular in India which make me go for the higher study in this course. One thing I would like to teaching method of language course in JNU is to students should get provided a proper language lab where you can improve your language skill.

Fees and Financial Aid

As we know JNU has the lowest fee structure in all over India, as a example we Lang students only pay 108 rupees in per sem which is lowest in every aspect. And also if you come for low financial family if your yearly income is below 2.5 lakh then JNU also provides MCM for that students which 2000 per month for your academic help.

Campus Life

5

University life at JNU is truly rare to find anywhere, I'll say the university has all kinds of availability that a student needs. The 24-hour working library with thousands of books here is one of the most attractive things of this university. The school infrastructure is well maintained but the hostel infrastructure has become so old that it needs renovation.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facility is quite good as we get a medium-sized room provided with a table chair bed and wardrobe like basic things. But the meal we get in our mess is one of the things that I dislike, although we get quality food here, a proper meal full of nutrition but It seems that I can't go along with this menu where I have to eat the same thing for years and years. The reg process of the hostel in quite easier as you opt for hostel at the time of documents verification then after that process get smoothly if follow all guidelines to get that.

Admission

I applied for JNU in 2021 in that time JNU itself used to held the entrance exam which was quite easier then CUET, easier in a sense to prepare for exams, and syllabus were not that complicated that time. But as comparison to than now it has get very complicated I think.

Faculty

4

So basically in my center of the Korean language, we have 8 professors who teach us and the class size is 40 students every year so each class is taken by one-one professor, and the way they teach are really amazing, we have very interactive classes professor makes sure that students participating in class activity. Also, the teachers here are very approachable they help us with any kind of problem at any time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is something that can have improvements. For example I am studying C++ in my computer minor class which is becoming less and less relavent as compared to a lamguage like python. Alot of job prospects require students to know a language like R so I feel things like that should be taught so that the course cam make a student more real world ready.

My course is on a difficult side . There are subjects like statistics and maths which are too practical and hard . But this opens my mind towards practical approaches. Moreover the demand for this course is much more then its related courses like bcom and bba.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course requires a lot of analytical and logical thinking. The scope is quite wide in my course without having any professional degree too like research, analytics, finance manager etc. This course gives opportunity to gain applied skills and as we are dealing with quantitaive aspects our statistics also gets better with time. Few improvements which i would like suggest are that their should more practical and real life knowledge, currently it is very theoritically heavy. Teaching online softwares must be compulsoury so that we remain updated with technology.

I was interested in the subject economics so i opted it for my graduation. The curriculum teaches us with some real life example so it becomes a little easy to understand it, the thing that can be improved is just using a little more real life examples so the students have clarity in topic.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is essential to guide teachers in what to teach, how much depth of knowledge is needed for that grade, and a a timeline to follow so the year will be completed. Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information rather than the information itself. I wouldn’t eliminate content, without background we cannot form good, rational, and educated conclusions. We are still giving timed tests in math facts! I know that’s traditional, but it just isn’t as important.
