BIT Mesra MCA reality

The course curriculum of MCA is very relevant. Major courseworks include Modern Operating System, Software Engineering Principles, Theory of Computation, Compiler Design, Computer Networks, Artificial Intelligence, etc. There is no mid semester exams for PG. End semester exams are held in november (for Aug-Nov semester) and April (for Jan -April semester). Apart from these, quizzes for every mnodules are conducted.

Companies visit to offer student summer internship for 3 months and also offer intership opportunities of 4-6 months for final year students in theri final sem. Internships are not than much good compared to placements.

Campus placements are really good in bit mesra. Top MNCs such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon recruit from here. Highest package is 52 LPA. Average package in 12 LPA. Most of the students get placed, around 92%.

The fee structure of MCA is as follows: Tuition Fee : 1st year - Rs 116500 per sem, 2nd year - Rs. 128000 per sem Hostel & Mess - Rs 50000 per sem The fees increase every year. GP Birla Scholarship are available for meritorious students. It is mostly based on Merit and Means.

There are more than 25 clubs and socities here. Each clubs organise their events every othe week. Major Fest are Bitotsav, annual cultural fest and Pantheon, annual tech fest. Apart from these, Data Science Summit, Deepotsav, etc area also conducted.

Hostel rooms are very small. In 1st year, 2 students are made to share that small room, after that they get a separate room (only for boys), girls have sharing rooms only. Quality of food is very good. Food is served 4 times everyday.

Admission to MCA is done based on an online entrance test, followed by a technical interview. The online admission test was conducted on syllabus including questions from Mathematics, Computers, logical reasoning, english. Eligibility for admission in MCA includes, a BCA or B.sc in Computer Science/IT/Comuter Applications The application form is generally open from March - May, which can be found on the official website. A application fees of Rs 1500 is to be paid (Rs 750 if reservation) If the cutoff is cleared in online test, only then you'll receive invite for technical interview.

The faculty members are very well qualified. They have years of experience. Some faculties prefer teaching without any presentation, just by referring to the book. But some of them shares a ppt and then teach. There are a lot of faculties.

Yes. There was an admission test, BIT MET. It consists questions related to mathematics, computer science, logical reasoning, and english. After the entrance exam is cleared, students require to appear for a tech interview. Interview topics include Operating System, Networks, Database, DSA, etc.
