Likes

The amount of clubs present in college with serious participant and leaders
classes are well maintained and and clean with well equipped ac and proper sound proofing rooms

Dislikes

Hostels are not that good and are very unhygienic specially washrooms
teacher are not friendly and donot interact with students and comes only to teach
There are very much unnecessary subjects that are not even required

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is not that good there are only 1 or 2 subject related to the course and most of the subjects are not even needed the amount of assignments should be decreased and it should be given at a good time not near the examination period .

Internships Opportunities

internship are provided by companies like intel, maq software, cisco, adobe, Microsoft, stipend is also provided to the students for the internship major company that provides internship is Microsoft .

Placement Experience

7 sem students becomes eligible for campis placement the conpanies visited here are honda, decathlon, google, flipkart and many more , the highest package was 30 LPA, total of 80 % students were placed out of eligible students.

Campus Life

There are many fests out of which are technity, utkaansh apart from these all festivals are also celebrated. library has a wide range of books now a new library is also going to open . classroms are ell equipped with projectors and acs . regular sports competition are seen like inter branch, inter hostel , super 9, super 7, football tournament. there are many clubs for every sports

Hostels are not that good and have only fans not even cooler so it is difficult in Summers washrooms are also not well mantained food is also not that good overall hostels are very unhygienic and are not well mantained

Admission

To get admission in nit jalandhar you have to give jee mains exams and cut off for the clg for home state is nearly 86-87 for general category percentile in the same , you can register for jee mains on official nta website , exam is conducted 4 times in a year , difficulty level is a bit higher than board exams.

Teacher are well educated and know there subject but most of them are not good in teaching most of teacher have a bad english and does not interact with students and comes to just teach and teach without brake for an hour due to which classes are boring

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

Atharv ki dastan nit ki kahani

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
