Likes

Campus Life, you can find good friends too, canteen, placement,
Faculty is very good. You can interact with them everytime whenever you feel any doubts regarding any thing.
Canteen is also good. You can find various varieties of foods. You can eat South Indian thali, North Indian food, chai, coffee etc

Dislikes

Here is nothing which I dislike about my college

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is very much good. Syllabus complete on time even before time. There are 4exams conducted before semester. And two practicals . You have to perform good in that for getting good marks in semester examination

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 114000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

If you gets scholarship, it it good then. But if you are not getting any scholarships or government loans then you have to take private loans which is very much costly. Their interest rate is quite high.

Campus Life

College has various types of clubs including gnx,gdsc, eco cultural club, phoenix etc. here you can take part and explore yourself in other field except the course curriculum.you can take part in sports too .

Admission

For taking admission in NSEC, you have to give WBJEE entrance exam and score the cutoff marks for taking admission in the college. Reservation are only for Bengali students. Non Bengali students don't get any benefits here. One improvement I would like to suggest in the admission process is that, you have to visit each college in each round that you are getting . If you are an outsider you have to travel almost 2-3times. This process could be conducted online also

Reality of IIT KGP

Placement Experience:

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. From 7th semester students become eligible for sitting in the campus placements . Companies like TCS, Wipro, Accenture, IBM,Amazon and many more visits the college and companies like TCS and Wipro take mass recruitment and companies like Amazon offers 2-3 job . Approximately 85 percent of the students gets placed . My plans after getting the degree is to get a Software Developer job

Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

SURTECH REVIEW

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.

Remarks:

Placement for IT streams is very good but not good for the core stream. Infrastructure and campus beauty are very good. Faculty are average. Canteens are slightly costly but foods are ok. Hostel and Transport facilities are available.

I applied for some college in Noida like GL Bajaj and I was getting admission there but because of the distance from my state that is Jharkhand I preferred this college. Also I applied in colleges like Heritage Institute of technology and Techno Main Salt Lake and I was rejected because my wbjee rank was not enough to qualify . Others college which i got confirmed is RIT /quantum and haridwar university but i didn't go there because it was very far from my hometown and placement wasn't that much good as compared to my current college.
