Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course os very tough compared to the neet exam. We go into very differnt type of learnig always mbbs first year is said to be toughes as it is very hard cope up with type of learning the second year onwards we come into a differnt world as we are introduced to clinical postings as we interact with patients and we try to make our own diagnosis

Internships Opportunities

4

The intership opportunity provided by the college include a month course of interaship with a bery considerable payment as we work under different department. It can be said to be the culmination of 5 years of hard work. The intership os the opportunity that makes a doctor doctor

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fees as we under a government Institute we are not under heavy financial burden but even though the tution fee are minimal other expense including books instrument are very much of a burden and major issue of this course is that duartio of 5-6 years we are studying without any payment and those who studied along you already reached financial independence your are still unable to attain it

Campus Life

2.5

The academic life can be said somewhat dull as this course need us to spent a major time in studies itself so that reduces the time for most of the extra curricular activity. Stil we try to utilise maximum of it and. The college try to support it but it kind of very minimal

Admission

The admission process was very hectic. As after very tough competitive exam we had apply online for different medical. College as we apply for allotment we should consider our matk the cuts offs previous year cut of i personaly think proper application of the allotment played a significant role getting your desired college or to get into the best college that is available for you. Appication was available on nmc. In the reservation benefits are availble for those who are eligble and ot under vaious category exams are contected annually

Interview Experience

1.5

As i have already mentioned earliee the. To get admitted to any medical colege we have to crack the neet exam which is one of the most competitive exam conducted in india i had to spent 2 years just to crack the neet exam

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is a bit tough rather than other courses (professional courses) MBBS is a 4 year course with 1 year compulsory internship dealing with a total of 13-4 subject over the 4 years The curriculum prepares us for the real world experiecne but more often the clinical subjects aim in patuent student interaction that overall help in the achievemnt of professionalism The frequency if exams are very high as there needs to be regular revision of subjects in order to prepare for the finals and perfect in all clinical theory and oractical aspects

Reviewed on Nov 30, 2024(Enrolled 2021)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is of high relevance as it ensures that the student learns everything he need to learn in an mbbs life to become a good doctor. The curriculum we are now following is decided by the National Medical Council (NMC) of India and is CBME curriculum. The curriculum include many Self directed learning methods and small group discussions etc which makes the learning interesting and easy. The curriculum definitely prepares the students to become a good doctor in future. Some minute improvements are still required like no need of these many SGDs for community medicine and forensic. It'll be better to include more field activities in community medicine . The frequency and timing of exams are sometimes a burden for the students as the exams are so close and they are not getting enough time to improve themselves which may affect their confidence. Sometimes the exams are scheduled in between some meets conducted by university which makes it difficult for the students to participate.
