Course Curriculum Overview

4

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

Internships Opportunities

4

MBBS students are mandatorily required to do intership. Medical college amnjeri provides a good patient flow for the sudents. The students graduate withh adequate experience and knowledge gained during the internship.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee: 23150 per year Miscellaneous: 3480 KUHS registration fees: 2665 Caution deposit: 2320 Library, LRC,sports fee: 3000 Total :34615 Verification fee : 100 Grand total: 34715 Hostel fee: 18 per month(which is paid for the whole year) No management seat. Reservations are availbale for various casts Mess, hostel and tuition fee is free for SC ST candidates

Campus Life

4

Infrastructure can be improved. The college union is trying its maximum to do so. Overall in campus life it is above average and the educational side it pretty good. Recommended college. Many clubs are available for students to join like the eco gropu, adventure group, drama, music and what not.

Hostel Facilities

5

Choosing amedical college is not only about exellence , its equally about theenvironmental facilitues and support. One of the most important aspect being the hostel facility. Especially for students coming from diffeent parts of the country. The histel is relatively new which gives a significant advantage- modern architecture well planned design and upgraded ameneties unlike the other govt medical college hostels which are relatively old and may lack in terms of hyguene and functionality. I currently share my room with two roomates . The rooms are spacious enough to accomodate tgree people without feeling congested * attatched bathroom * a table * 2 almirahs Are provided for the three of us together. There are mesh windows and proper ventilation provided. The hostel is of 7 floors with the underground floor as mess hall. Additionally, the hostel provides shared laundry facilities with currently 3 washing machines. There is also a gym provided for both MH AND LH The histel is very affordable-20 per month. Yss its that low.

Admission

I applied almost every othe govt medical colleges in kerala. I had reservation as LATIN CATHOLIC and got into manjeri medical college The admission procedure is quite hectic but seniors were available on scene to help us with that.

Faculty

4

Compared to other medical colleges, manjeri medical college has a low teacher to student ratio that is 1:12. Tye total strength is 110. The faculties are top notch with a good amount of experience. All the departments are cooperating especially the biochem department. Exams are conducted yearwise by the KUHS. The college conducts 3 short exams and 3 PCT exams as criteria for weiting the KUHS The KUHS conducts each subject in two papers on seperate days

Night Life

4

Manjeri is atown like area with no much places to explore but the good thing is that kozhikode is only 1 hour away from here. Kozhikode is an all time favourite place for all students of GMCM. Manjeri do have some places like mini ooty and all . First year students have curfew till 9:30. From second year onwards there is no curfew

Mbbs is a five year course which includes one year of intership.  Exams are relatively very tough and stressful. The clinical exposure helps in real world applications of what we learn.  Four years of degree provides four year end exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is a bit tough rather than other courses (professional courses) MBBS is a 4 year course with 1 year compulsory internship dealing with a total of 13-4 subject over the 4 years The curriculum prepares us for the real world experiecne but more often the clinical subjects aim in patuent student interaction that overall help in the achievemnt of professionalism The frequency if exams are very high as there needs to be regular revision of subjects in order to prepare for the finals and perfect in all clinical theory and oractical aspects

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's always relevant to the content being taught by the teachers. They always use application based questions to prepare us for a real life situation as well. First aid training was also completed. Some of the teachers are very interactive while some not. Short exams are conducted on a weekly basis while internal exams are conducted every 2/3 months. Not that difficult but it isn't that easy either. Very strict checking, nothing is liberal.
