MBBS is more difficult than the entrance,the only relaxation during the exam time is lack of competition. But the CBME curriculum is difficult , which make students more stressful . There is lot to study and also equally lot of activities like record submission,exam are difficult because 50%mark is necessary for to pass the exam and the university exam is conducted at the end of year ,the eligibility of writing exam is determined by internal exams and other works

Internship opportunity provided by the college and stipend

Internship are available in our college after passing the 4th year . It duration about 1 year providing about 25 000 rupees salary per month.during the internship we worked here as doctor in different department

The fee structure total amount is about 30,000 per student for each year. According to the category the students may get scholarship for the course.for the obc/sc/st students egrants provide by government,about 30000 rupees will granted.after the 4year study 1 year internship is provided by the college

Our college extracurricular activities are mainly conducted through union . Election are also taking place in our college under the guidance of KUHS. inter college and inter batch arts and sports festival are also there.there are many clubs are available for activities

Hostel is not good for boys ,it is an old building which doesn't contain adequate facilities. Doesn't have a good toilet.the hostel mess good providing good quantity of food .hostel fee about 50 rupees per month and also there is an establishment fee in every month about 200 rupees,

Eligibility of the course is NEET UG .It is conducted by National Testing Agency.The notification for the application of neet will published on the official website of NTA. Application fee about 1000 for general category students,there a fee variation for category wise.Neet is comparatively easy but it mainly depends on speed and accuracy of answering, about 25 lakh students writing the exam so competition is a big factor ,which make unnecessary stress to students

People from various districts approach our college for treatment.
College faculty and union are student friendly
I liked the fact that my college is one of the medical colleges in kerala with huge patient load which plus point for medical students

Dislikes

As the patient load is huge, it is difficult for the professors to make out time to teach us. Mostly self study is practiced in our college
There is no campus in our college as most of the land is covered by buildings

Admission:

To get admission to the course, one should clear NEET exam conducted once in a year. Application for NEET is done online. But the exam is in offline mode. It is one of the most difficult entrance exams in India with the most number of participants attending. The admission to colleges will be based on the ranklist. I have availed reservation under latin catholic category which provides 3% reservation of seats in each college

Seniors are are really friendly, kind, helping and there is zero ragging

Admission:

Admission is through NEET entrance examination. My score was 651 and rank 6746.AIR 7.5k has entered my college in 2023. There are reservations for sc,st, obc, ews etc. All india cut off for govt in 2023 was 610 and for kerala above 620 was needed.

Life at gmc kottayam

Likes

Kottayam is also a nice place and the people respect medical students very much
I really liked about the teaching and the learning environment and the infrastructure of the college..and the amount of patients and cases they provide and a very good opportunity to better ourselves and become very clinically knowledgeable doctors
The learning environment and the college functions are awesome along with the people you meet here..and also it is very fun with many places around to see and it is also close to majour towns and cities

Dislikes

Also the faculty can be overbearing sometimes otherwise one of the best colleges in the country
Small campus and lot of construction going on and lot of dust and also little space for recreation

Admission:

You have to qualify for neet and get the allotment and also you need to pass through councelling and whatnot and the exams are frequent with internals and externals and the exams are difficult and always standard

I got admission by passing out the NEET UG entrance exams. I got the seat through an OBC reservation. The exam was not too tough or too easy, but it has become so competitive nowadays due to the increased number of students attending it.

The events and the parties and the great educaiton . The competitions and seminars are held all throughout the year

Dislikes

Didnt dislike a lot but the college infrastructure can be improved

Admission:

I took neet ug 2022 and qualified it with sate rank of 571 and tht is what got me into my college . I studied for it for about an year and there are reservations available but I belong in the general category so it was not applicable

For getting admission into the college, you have to clear an exam called NEET and secure top rank. If you have any reservation, it is beneficial. You can apply via NTA Portal for All India Quora or through KEAM website for State Quora. Most important, bring all the necessary documents addressed by the college.

Availability of products near us with affordable prices
They provide priorities in hospitals when we go during sickness

Dislikes

Construction are done every where near the campus which provide difficulty for us.
There is no good football ground provided by the college.

You have to pass the 12th standard and pass the NEET UG entrance exam and get the minimum cut-off mark corresponding to the college allotted. All the application details can be found on the official NTA site.NEET exam is conducted every year.
