Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course is a bit tough rather than other courses (professional courses) MBBS is a 4 year course with 1 year compulsory internship dealing with a total of 13-4 subject over the 4 years The curriculum prepares us for the real world experiecne but more often the clinical subjects aim in patuent student interaction that overall help in the achievemnt of professionalism The frequency if exams are very high as there needs to be regular revision of subjects in order to prepare for the finals and perfect in all clinical theory and oractical aspects

Internships Opportunities

2

The college probides the compulsary 1 year intershio for the students with a stilend but very low amount stipend The house surgeons are usually tired die to the hectic schedule and the stipend is of no use to them as they have more expenses to work even shifts of 24-48 hours

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fee ti be pais is 734000 rupees plus 108000 as hostel fee for a year and 40-60 thousand as special fee (management seat/merit seat) Fee for NRIS SEAT is 20lakhs per year + hostel fee as mentioned above All reservation categories except EWS have to pay the management level fee The EWS category only needs to pay hostel fee

Campus Life

5

The overall experince about the compus life is actually good as there is actually less toxic environment when compared to a few other colleges Not a very comfortable campus or management but it is adjustable for most of the people here The names of the annual fest like arts fest are ektara , aroha etc Sports names like enigma calypso butula euro and other interbatch tournaments for girls and boys including fiotball cricket volleyball khokho throwball etc and athletics All classrooms have speakers and projectors and there is also a new skill lab with newer technologies for each department Varuous demo rooms and lab equipments are also available for studies Many student run clubs and social groups are present Like movie club, artclub drama clubs , named celluloid , literary clubs , photography clubs , dance clubs , study clubs, etc

Hostel Facilities

3

The room contains attached bathromm and each room holds 3 persons in the room the rooms are clean and average the rooms are cleaned by cleaning staffs every 3 days in the week The food quality is poor and same taste overall causing the students to order from outside Registeration for hostel is done along with the admission procedures and the fee is also paid at that rime for a year

Admission

I applied to almost all private medical colleges in kerala and got alloted by central allotment by state goverment to this college I chose this college as priority as my entrance marks were almost in an expectable range for this college Admission prcedures are a one day process where u submit the following documents and register 1. Minority documents if any 2 allotment slip 3. Fee slip by dd or cash 4. Non creamy layer certificste if any 5 income certificate by state govt or central govt 6 Caste certificate if eligible for any resrvation 7. Highschool marksheet 10 and 12 grade

Faculty

5

Faculties are really helpful and approachable They are very friednly and student faculty relations are not bad at the college Exams are comducted as follows: Weekly class tests are conducted for esch subject A total of 3-4 internal assesments are conducted in a year along with a university model examination The finals or the university is also conducted at the college in the college exam hall at the 4th floor the internal asseents are variable according to time as they may be easy to moderate and is very helpful for the students to prepare for the university exams The course curriculum is relevant to the subjects taught at the classroom and helpful for the preparation of examination

Night Life

1

The night life is actually very poor as there are hostel timing and restrictions for boys and girls 6pm So the night time usually all students spen at their respective hostels only The hostels have gym facility and outdoor shuttle court for the boys to play at night The main hangout places are canteens and cafes inside the college and hospital like AAINZ french corner med espresso medicity canteen etc

Course Curriculum Overview:

Doctors are always a need for the society. The curriculum deals mainly in healing people which attracted me towards it. The curriculum has specific competencies a student should achieve in order to be competent as an Indian Medical Graduate. These competencies are set of skills every student should acquire. Teaching should be more practical oriented and theory should be reduced. More competencies should be included. Frequency of exams doesnt affect much. but portions to be studied for each exams are bit heavy. Difficulty level is moderate to hard

Course Curriculum Overview:

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course facilitates learning in each and every department of the medical college which gives us accessibility on how each wing works..giving us an idea to help decide where we see our future. Since we start clinical practice from our 2nd year and interactions with the patients continously it prepares us for almost every situation, since it is a government college we see all kinds of people from all backgrounds, giving us a different type of exposure. Some departments have fewer faculty making it difficult for them to care for the students and patients at the same time so the students maybe left unattended. Exams occur almost on a monthly basis, some harder than the others, but all are quite easy to pass with adequate studying.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of our study is prepared by National medical council and all the government medical colleges and private medical colleges in India are compelled to follow their rules. I like medical profession because I really likes the biology I opted it. The teaching method in government medical colleges are little bit different from that of our schools since we have clinical classes to handle also other professors are very good at teaching us by the aids of projection. MBBS courses very difficult to study also very interesting to study we have early basis exams in which each exam is conducted it the end of the year since the course is five and half years, in which four and half years of teaching and one year of internship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose MBSS out of my own personal interest. However bewarned, it is not for everyone. Its a very hectic life. There are much less faculty available for each student but that is the case in every medical college. All faculty are mbbs, PG and PSC passed. They are very dedicated, if free from other works. Exams are very plenty, almost too much for most students. Passing an exam itself is a hurdle for most people and all subjects are indeed hard to cover

I chose MBBS as it has been one of my dreams since my childhood and it's my parent's dream more than mine. Faculties teaching in the First year min qualification is a master of science in the particular subject and from the second year onwards the minimum qualification is MBBS for every faculty. Three exams per year and you have to pass any one exam to write in university exam and it's somewhat difficult to pass if you start studying at last
