Remarks

The college could use and updates library. The librarians are well qualified and they maintain the library as well as they can. But most of the books and journals are older editions.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The MBBS course curriculum is hectic but necessary. The exam structure was not ideal in that the scores does not necessarily corelate with how good a medical professional the student could be. There are separate exams evaluating performance in theory and practical.

Placement Experience

3.5

My college does offer internship but the stipend given is very meagre. There is no system in place for placement as such. Job opportunities are good, although it's becoming slimmer with each passing yera.

College Events

3

College day - a sort of annual day celebration. Valentine's day- for the ones with a serious case of love-bug-bite. Arts day- to showcase talents. Onam- because it's our heritage. Iftar- during Ramadan. Christmas celebration- complete with a tree and the whole holiday mood package. Convocation- graduation day.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is based on various socioeconomic levels. In general one could say it iss expensive, especially when compared To the fee structure in government colleges. But for those with reservations, it's feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't availed any scholarship or loan facility from the college. But I have heard that there were some in place for the economically backward students. Some students even received free laptops. But I do not know the criteria for such scholarships.

Campus Life

3

The labs are well maintained. The staff are friendly and informative. The equipment are also very good. There are sports event that are orgamised, rather erratically, annually. Students participate in intercollegiate events as well.

Alumni/Alumna

To my knowledge, nothing of the sort exists but if it did, it would definitely help maintain relationships. The senior students have been helpful throughout the course. They help with everything form academics to cultural events.

Admission

I attended the medical entrance exam conducted by the state, in 2011. After the result was published, i had applied for online counselling, based on which a college was allotted. After that, I went to the college office for further procedures.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of the college are well qualified specialists in their respective fields. They had a strict scheme in place to make sure that we as students, made good use of the available facilities and infrastructure.

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's always relevant to the content being taught by the teachers. They always use application based questions to prepare us for a real life situation as well. First aid training was also completed. Some of the teachers are very interactive while some not. Short exams are conducted on a weekly basis while internal exams are conducted every 2/3 months. Not that difficult but it isn't that easy either. Very strict checking, nothing is liberal.

The course is a pretty hard one i must say but the feeling of putting on a white coat and looking after patients is surreal and that's the main essence of the job. The curriculum is very vast but each subject is important in its own way. The exams are all conducted in such a way that there's enough time for us to prepare .
