Course Curriculum Overview
So there was my personal interest in the electrical field as it is a very much interesting branch for me because of my personal interest. Initially, I wanted to become a PSU servant so I opted for a core branch. The faculties are good.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies offer internships such as LG, Bosch, Amazon, Linkedin, etc. They conduct proper procedures for hiring interns which include test and then HR interviews which are not easy to crack. But you can get an internship if you do hard work.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placement from the 7th semester but before that, they can get internships in various companies. The highest CTC was about 64 LPA given by LinkedIn and the average package is near about 8-12 LPA. My plans after my degree would be to join PSU or get a government job.
Fees and Financial Aid
So I came to know that tution fees increase 10% year by year. But I am not so sure about it. This can be verified by the official website of Thapar or can be viewed in their brochure. Scholarships are provided on many provisions such as sports or academics.
Campus Life
So the main fest of Thapar is Saturnalia which is hosted every year. It is most famous fest in north India many celebrities came and so much fun activities are hosted every year. Besides this many other fests are being organised time to time for students.
Hostel Facilities
So the mess have completely veg food which is very delicious. Chinese and south indian dishes are also included in the menu for variety in food for students. Hostels are given by first come first serve status and preferences are made by students in mail prior starting of semester.
Admission
So basically there are two criteria for admission. One is from jee mains and other is from boards percentage. Both share 50% contribution. The cutoff varies year by year and it is near about above 90% for both jee and boards.
