Likes

I like campus. Very green and full of trees plants.
And offcourse the fest in my college are amazing.
And facilities of sports. It's very amazing.

Dislikes

I think there should be a big city near college.
It's very far from my home. I have to travel 2000km.
Girls and boys ratio. It's not good. But alright.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum of my course is very good. But I personally don't want to do this course but I have to do it. But it's very nice course. Exams are very taken frequently. Like mid sem exams then tests and lab test also.

Internships Opportunities

As a student of one of the best college of India. Internship opportunities are very amazing in our university. And also we have very good relationship with the alumni of our college. So that they are also helpful in this.

Placement Experience

Campus placement are pretty good. But according to my course I'm not interested to get job regarding my course. If I didn't get placement from campus placement I will go through the offcampus placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee is 1lakh per semester means 2 lacs per year. And other fees including hostel rent,mess etc is around 80k per year. I am enrolled in dual degree course that means I have to pay total around 14 lacs of fees for my course.

Campus Life

Campus life is very amazing. Fest are very fantastic like kshitij and spring fest. Kshitij is one of asia's biggest tech fest. Spring fest is very enjoyable it's one of the biggest fest in our college.

Hostel Facilities

Room are pretty good. But not expected as in such a big IIT. I mean in my room I'm in triple sharing room. And no AC facility. But its good. In meal it's very decent. We get breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks also.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

For the course you should complete 12th science with mathematics. Then appear for jee mains and jee advanced. After that if you get good rank for IIT you will get it. For that there is a very long process which is in a good way process.

Reality of IIT KGP

Placement Experience:

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

Placement Experience:

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

SURTECH REVIEW

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.

Remarks:

Placement for IT streams is very good but not good for the core stream. Infrastructure and campus beauty are very good. Faculty are average. Canteens are slightly costly but foods are ok. Hostel and Transport facilities are available.
