Likes

Classroom is well mantained and good infrastructure.
Environment is very good for time pass after study.
Labs and computers are well maintained and good condition.

Dislikes

Curriculum is very backdated not match the industry standard.
Canteen and hostel foods are not good and not clean
There is insufficient leave and high attendance policy.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because there is various opportunities in computer science field. The curriculum is outdated does not match the industry standard. The course curriculum should be included the industry relevant subjects and tools.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 531000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fee increase every year. Tution fees total - 531000 RS If you have a good marks in class 12 , you can get a discount in tution fees. You can get a scholarship if you score good marks in JET examination.

Campus Life

There are several fests happens in our university like - JIS-SAMMAN, BISWA BANGLA CONVOCATION, BASANTA UTSAV etc. Library is equipped with various types of books and there is A.C installed and you can also take books for few days.

Admission

Qualification in wbjee or JET examination and qualification of class 12th with at least 60 percent marks in science background. JET examination application form, application dates can be found on JIS UNIVERSITY official website "jisuniversity.ac.in". Application fee is totally free. There is no reservation benifit in this University. The JET examination happens 4 times after class 12 . The difficulty level is easy to medium.

Placement Experience:

At JGEC,campus placements begin mostly from the 6th/final year semester,when students become eligible .I recent years many well-known companies have visited such as Pinnacle Infotech,Synnova Gears & Transmissions Pvt.Ltd,,TCS,Jyesta corporate Entity and many more.The highest package was around 54 LPA form Google ,While the overall average is 10.2LPA.Many students also take internships, industrial training or prepare for higher studies(GATE) rather than accepting direct placement immediately.The exact percentage of student getting palcement is no where.But last year the percentage placed is 70%.

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities are overall good, students can apply for the placement form 5th and 6th semester and can get PPOs's companies like Microsoft, google, amazon comes during the placement season and every year, so many students get placed even with a package greater than 2cr INR. Placement Experience:

Overall the placement percentage of the college is good for both the core and non-core courses almost near 90%. All the students in there 3rd year i.e. in their 5th or 6th semester are elegible for campus placements. A few companies which visit the college are TCS, WIPRO, TECH MAHINDRA, INFOSYS, IBM, COGNIZANT, HUL, HCL, INDIAN OIL, MITSUBSHI, NJ INDIA, D-POWER,ETC. all the companies offer placement. highest on-campus package = inr 33 lakh where as the average is around 6lpa. After the degree, I plan to get a good placement in a core company and opt for GATE.
