Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus of the course is redesigned to meet new industrial needs so that it meets the employers expectations on completion of the course. The exams taken are frequent and the questions are highly relevant to the course and teachings.
Internships Opportunities
Many internship opportunities are available within the campus and outside as well. Many companies directly offer internship to students making them industry ready. The companies hires posts like intern and involve them in major project under some guidance. Teachers helps us in internships as well.
Placement Experience
The college has a decent record of placement after the completion of the course. In case of pharmacy companies like MedPlus and cipla hires directly through campus placements and my plan is to get one after the course.
Fees and Financial Aid
The complete b pharm fees structure involves a total of 670000 for 4 years. The semister wise fees is roughly around 82000 and it have increased from previous years. Many scholarship programs like swami vivekananda scholarship are available for your course through the university. Many other state and central scholarship and subsidies are available.
Campus Life
The social life on jis university is very good and fun. There are several clubs involving various activities like sports, dance, drama, skits and what not. It organises events on special days and also organises fest for the refreshment of students to keep them engaged.
Admission
I applied for colleges like gurunanak and sister Nivedita university within kolkata and also colleges like the sri sri university in odisha. This was my choice of preference over other colleges as it had more infrastructure and facilities for pharmacy department compared to other colleges.
Faculty
The faculties are really helpful and not very strict. They assist us in each way round without making us feel irritating. There are 3 internal exams and one main exam for the semester as far as the b pharm is concerned.
Night Life
There are many hotels restaurants and cafes offering cheap and eatable food with proper hygiene and cleanliness maintained. There are also many roadside stalls offering food over cheap rates for students living alone.it has various gyms malls for the night life refreshment.
