Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri is the 1st Pharmacy college in Asia. This is the only one government college in West Bengal. Labs infrastructure is very poor. 100% Placement are done. Our college is very good Pharmacy college in India.
Course Curriculum Overview
Bachelor of Pharmacy & Diploma in Pharmacy course is studying in this College. Bachelor of Pharmacy Course under "The West Bengal University of Health Sciences" and Diploma in Pharmacy course under the "West Bengal State Medical Faculty". B.Pharm is 4-year course, which have total 8 semester. And DPharm is 2-year course, which have yearly final exam.
Placement Experience
The various job opportunities are available & the very good placement are provided by the college authority. The internship is provided by college. Our internship is done in the Government Medical College or Any other Hospital in West Bengal.
College Events
National Pharmacy Week, World Pharmacy Day, Blood Donation camp, Tree Plantation, TB determination Camp, HIV advice camp, World Pharmacy Day is very beautiful event in our College. Medicine details and side effects of this.
Fee Structure And Facilities
12000 rupees per year For Bachelor of Pharmacy course, and 1000 rupees in every semester exams 2000 rupees year for Diploma in Pharmacy. Hostel charge per month 100 rupees. Total Tuition fees for Bpharm is 12000×4= 48000
Fees and Financial Aid
All scholarship are available in our college. All National and state school available. And other Private scholarship are available of this course. Education loan facility are available. Some Name of the Scholarship is Oasis, National Scholarship Portal, Ukosshree, Swami Vivekananda Scholarship, CM scholarship, LIC Scholarship, IOCL Scholarship etc.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities of our college is very expressive, Labs facility is not very well, some instrument are not available but labs are very well. various Sports like football, cricket and Vikyball tournament are every year inter college and inter class.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rate very low, Yearly hostel charge is 1200 only, no electricity charge just 100 rupees per month, Hostel infrastructure is good. TV is available in the dining room, Diploma hostel is near to the college campus and Bpharm hostel is 4kms distance from college campus.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior students are very helpful. They helpful every junior passout student for Job and others. Network between Passout student and teachers bonding are very good. Senior student are very helpful for every junior student.
Admission
WBJEE entrance examination must be crack , After cracking the WBJEE admission process is started according to Merit List of WBJEE of Pharmacy Rank by counseling process. , This College is the Only one Government Pharmacy College in West Bengal. According to Merit list of WBJEE ,the Counselling Process is started & after 1st, 2nd ,3rd round counseling and after counseling process complete the admission is done.
Faculty
The faculty of this College is very good. PhD holder faculty are available. B Pharmacy & D Pharmacy have total 17 teachers. Maximum Professors are PhD holder and they are very helpful to the students.
