Course Curriculum Overview

I have joined the B. Pharm course through the WBJEE entrance exam. I was interested in the course and prepared myself for the entrance exam. Bachelor Of pharmacy is a very good course for graduation and gives various opportunities in pharmacy fields. The course in directed connected with medicines and dispensing them. It also give opportunity for pharmaceutical industry fields and hospital pharmacy and through master degree you can also participate in academics. The course is very good and one of leading course for study and future growth and establishment.

Internships Opportunities

In our course it is mandatory for 150 hours of industrial training and optional for hospital training. Our college help us for industrial training at reputated pharma companies and hospitals. In the time of industrial training the training is not stipend and we have to learn about the products and the total manufacturing process involves with the pharmaceutical products, including safety , efficacy and after production process. The training is very helpful for a student's future and goals and development there character.

Placement Experience

My college BCDA COLLEGE OF PHARMACY AND TECHNOLOGY is a very reputable and good college for education and placement. Students who are allready completed the 7th semester are eligible for campus placement drive. There are many companies are visited for interview and placement offers. Alkem, Sun Pharma, Alembic, Torrent, Glenmark and other companies are came for interview. The package are mainly around 1.8-2.6 LPa in average. forty percent students are prepared themselves for interview and others are looking for higher education and others are prepared for other services.

Fees and Financial Aid

In my college BCDA COLLEGE OF PHARMACY AND TECHNOLOGY there are eight semester in bachelor of pharmacy course. The total amount I have to pay in a year is approx 90000 rupees. In my admission time the total fees for the course was 357000 rupees, and there are a registration fees you have to pay during admission which is included with addmission fees. For each semester before the final semester exam i have to pay 1200 rupees to the university for eligible for exam. My college approved scholarship like SVMCM and Aikyashree etc. My college also approve the student credit card scheme of west bengal Government. For admission you have to score in WBJEE and other entrance exams according our college standard. My college have rather minimum course fees than other private colleges.

Campus Life

In my college there are annual sports and picnic arrengement from our college side. This programmes are mainly held in month of January to February. Our classroom are well furnished and with proper number of sitting arrangements and equipped with projector for study. The library is very big and all the Books are available for study in the library. There are around 6-8 thousand books are stocked in the library. The library stock all the subjects books for every semester and various types of books including Indian Pharmacopoeia.

Admission

There are no rejection or any other problems for me as I passed the WBJEE entrance exam for admission in bachelor of pharmacy course. I choose this college according my rank and for the good reputation of the college. My college BCDA COLLEGE OF PHARMACY AND TECHNOLOGY is a very good private colleges with less course fees than the other private colleges and gives good education and advice regarding future goals. This college is one of best college in west bengal for pharmacy study and the total course fees is 357000 in my time of registration and admission for four years. I choose this college for it's reputation, course fees and placement purposes.

Faculty

The faculty members are very good and very helpful in our study. The teaching methods are simple and they give us the study materials for every subjects and always interact with us. In my college there are total 28 faculty members and 100 of students in a class. In bachelor of pharmacy course there are eight semester in a total four year course. Our college affiliated with MAKAUT in west bengal and the exams are conducted by the University. The question papers are moderate and the most of the students pass in every subjects in semester. The teachers are very sensible and look out for the students who have failed to clear any subject in a semester.

Night Life

In my college there are not so much space in college campuses, we mainly spent our time in classroom and the college canteen. There are shopping malls and hospital near our college and the kolkata airport is a very small distance from our college.I live in near Barasat and it is safe for night out. We walk outside in the evening near station and shopping malls and the food stalls near Barasat.

Remarks:

The college is a good college it is situated beside the district hospital and there is morgue beside it. So students will se many dead bodies been taken. This may be problem for weak heart students. But I thing for a pharmacists he/she should be able to see dead bodies.

Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri is the 1st Pharmacy college in Asia. This is the only one government college in West Bengal. Labs infrastructure is very poor. 100% Placement are done. Our college is very good Pharmacy college in India.

Admission:

By WBJEE or AIEEE exam you have got a rank for admission in this college.There are 3 concealing process by the wbjee rank card. Then you have to varify your document in reporting centre , after that you go to the college for the admission.
