Course Curriculum Overview

Bachelor of pharmacy is a very good course in the last 2 decades. There are 8 semester of total 4 years course, and each semester contains 2 internal exam, which internal exam marks is higher is calculated on marks heet.

Placement Experience

There are so many opportunities in job from our college 100% placement in government and also private sector job ex-cipla ,sunpharma, gsk, mankind. Dpharmacy course have 3 years internship and B.pharm course have 1 month internship in hospital as pharmacist.

College Events

1. Independence day 2. Teacher's day 3. Fressers and farewell 4. Cultural fest There are aslo many programme held in college premises and many seminar aslo takes place in our college seminar rooms. That's all.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel capacity is low so not all students are not able to stay there they stay in the mess and it's too expensive.there is also nsp scholarship for the minorities and loan for the poor pupils. Labs are good and modern , Sports items are given the students by the colleges.

External Expense: Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Alumni/Alumna

They helps us junior student by informing the vacancy of the of any job in many pharmaceutical companies.They motivated in many ways , they comes college premises and take feedback from college and discuss to our professor and senior students.

Admission

By WBJEE or AIEEE exam you have got a rank for admission in this college.There are 3 concealing process by the wbjee rank card. Then you have to varify your document in reporting centre , after that you go to the college for the admission.

The professor are very polite and popular to the all students , thay helps students very much as they can. They teaches very care fully in theory and also practical classes. They also helps us in many extra curricular activity and attitude building seminars.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B pharm course is a professional course. And the some medical college in which I am studying is a recognised Government College which is very good for a b pharm student. It's your to final exam is conducted one is for the first semester 3rd semester and fifth semester and 7 semester which is conducted in February or March and the second examination is conducted for second semester 4th semester 6 semester and 8 semester which is conducted in August or September where is depending on the decision of the PC

Gitanjali college also gives adequate placements opportunities. Opportunities comes from many sectors. Appolo, Med plus etc. are common and easy opportunities. Beside them Mainly Production companies like Macloids, Sun Pharma etc also conducts interview for their production units every year. Interviews are arranged for 4th year students only. My plan is to continue my higher studies.

Placement are not so good but I can confirm you that if you are good in studies then you will have a min package of 50LPA .Every pharma companies in india or out india contains our alumnis as well as you will get a polite and respectful behaviour in every company after knowing you r passed out from Iopj .

This is the oldest Pharmacy college in India

Remarks:

The college is a good college it is situated beside the district hospital and there is morgue beside it. So students will se many dead bodies been taken. This may be problem for weak heart students. But I thing for a pharmacists he/she should be able to see dead bodies.

Remarks:

Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri is the 1st Pharmacy college in Asia. This is the only one government college in West Bengal. Labs infrastructure is very poor. 100% Placement are done. Our college is very good Pharmacy college in India.

Iopj is best
