College life in Andaman

The main reason I decided to choose this course is the curiosity for ocean. From childhood onwards ocean was one of the curious thing for me. The syllabus was good but field experience was very low. And as a marine biologist scuba as a part of syllabus is good I guess. For the further academic studies the course help me to know more about the behind things of ocean as well as how ocean management is important for the survival of the environment. The exam pattern include 2 internals for each subject and the main exam is for 80 marks and the time period is 3hrs

The fee structure include the admission fee will be 23000 and then we want to pay semester fee for each sem the first sem we want to pay 3200 and then second also same amount and for the 3rd sem we want to pay 13000 rs and then fourth sem 3200. Other than this for each sem the exam fee will be 370. As I am studying in pondicherry university off campus which is in andaman we will get island scholarship of rs 1000 each month.

Campus life was almost bore because they won't conduct any club activities we have only classes and lab. But in hostel we will conduct certain programs. Library was good but it won't be open on sunday and also in working days the timing is from 9am to 9pm. There is no sports activites and no other club activities.

Room for girl's will be free but for boys per yr 1000rs. Room is good but mess food can be better. For mess per day it will cost 120rs. For getting hostel we want to fill a form during the time of admision.The room is for 2 or max 3 people.

The eligibility for the course is Bsc in any science stream especially zoology or botany. The admission related process had been publishesd in paper as well as university portal. For getting admission I wrote an entrance exam conducted by university itself. As a general category student I want to score rank under 20 for getting admission. My rank was 13. The exam includes 100 multiple choice questions and the time limit for the exam is one and half hour.The exam was little bit tough but its almost ok. For admissions process I fault I find is the reservation that means for general category students we want to be under rank 20. For other category students they have reservation.
