Firstly I love the faculty and the seniors they are very much helpful
No 75% attendance is needed in this university
Jadavpur University provides the best environment for education as well as other co curricular activites

Dislikes

It s high competition, all the students are a topper so the competition level increases
Politics: It has a history of political activism, various rallies and protests are held within the campus
Infrastructure: Despite of being a prestigious institute, it has a limited infrastructure

Course Curriculum Overview

First of all i chose this course because its a core branch Its one of the core branch and in one of the best colleges in India There are no such improvements better required cause i guess its providing enough The difficulty of sem exams are quite hard and it happens twice or sometimes thrice a year

Class Size: 144Course Fees: INR 9600 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Rs 5000 is given at the time of seat allotment and thats why the complete fees for the first 4 sem is given another Rs 710 is given during the time of admission The complete cost of fees is 9600 including everything We can get every scholarships available in the country and an alumnus scholarship is also provided for the EWS students which is only for the students in this college The college provides various kinds of internship programs

Campus Life

Sanskriti: The annual fest of JU, held during march and april Srijan: The techincal fest, held during march JU have 2 libraries : Central and Departmental, both consists of numerous books The classrooms have is air conditioned There is a huge playground to play any sports, we have a volleyball, lawn tennis and a basketball court besides of the huge playground There are various types of club such as chess club and a intra departmental and inter departmental tournament sports tournament is held each year

Admission

Eligibility: getting a good rank in wbjee and also scoring above 60% in boards Applicant needs to get a seat through wbjee counselling after giving wbjeee 90% seats are reserved for Home state quota( wb ) and other various types of quotas are there Wbjee examinations takes place in the month of April or May each year

ELIGIBILITY FOR CAMPUS PLACEMENT: At Brainware University students generally become eligible for campus placement from the final years of their course. For many programs placemnet preparation sactivities such as aptitude training, soft skills development, resume building, mock interviews begin earlier, you can say that these activities are incoporated from the 1st semester itself. COMAPINES VISIT: Several reowned and reputed compaines from IT, management,healthcare,media, and core sectors visits the university for campus recruitment. Placement drive include companines from domains such as software services, consulting,education,sales digital marketing etc. For my domain CSE AIML companies like Infosys,Amazon,Cognizant,Adobe etc visits. Each year multiple students receive job offers through campus drives and some students also secure multiple offers depending on their skills and performance. HIGHEST AND AVERAGE PACKAGE OFFERED: The highest package offered varies by course and recruiter and also with top performing students receive highest packages based on their role requirements and skills. It range from 12 LPA to 45 LPA. The average package offered to students is competitive for a private university and aligns with industry standards for entry level roles. These generally range from 3.5 to 8 LPA. PRECENTAGE OF STUDENTS GETTING PLACED: Placement outcome mostlky depend on academic performance, attendance, communication skills, technical knowledge, and participation in training sessions. Students who actively engage in placement preparation have better placement success. About 98% students were placed in 2023. Mainly mass recruiter companies like TCS, wipro, Infosys, cognizant comes here.Some top notch mncS like oracle,amazon, Microsoft also comes here .One senior of our previous batch got 1 cr Per annum in off campus way. Avg package is 10 lpa like . Jft and pst branch has full 100% placement. My plan after getting the degree is to be placed in top notch mnc & work as SDE.

The placement cell of my college is very strong.From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements.There are around 50 companies visited in the college such as TCS,Intel. Microsft. Deloitte,etc.205 students are placed in TCS in year 2019. 415 students are placed in campus placement last year. Maximum CTC was 25 lacs/pa and average CTC was 5.5 lacs/pa previous year.After Jadhavpur University,the average CTC of the college is higher than IEM. Above 95% placements for IT,CSE and ECE students.There are around 55-60% placements in other department.My plans are doing some great things after getting the degree.

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More

Homebound Forward with Jadavpur University

I have always wanted to study in Jadavpur University in one of their literature departments since I was a kid. This was a way of achieving a tiny dream of mine. Moreover, the Comparative Literature Department is the best in all entire Asia and the first one in the country. I wanted to experience the greatness of this course and how the canons of this literature were formed here. It is also the topmost State Public University and 9th in NIRF I wanted to be a part of an institution that could be great to this extent. The admission took place on the basis of a merit-based entrance examination. The seats are limited; therefore, only the top 15 students out of almost 800-1000 who appeared for the exam were selected.
