Likes

Taking about the campus life so we are having a beach in our campus which is also a unique thing in it's own
We have a lot of sports events in our college which refresh us
The academics of the college are designed in a proper manner which helps in developing skills

Dislikes

The lecture hall for us are quit old so they should be improved
All the even semester of our college are of small duration
The food is not that good which we can have

Course Curriculum Overview

Initially I was trying in the Indian defence but than I chose nimcet through which can I can pursue mca in nit and obviously it is very helpful for me because here I am having the same opportunities as a btech student who has cleared jee in the college the academics are totally placement oriented which helps a lot in developing skills and the exam are also not that tough so we have enough time to develop any skill

Class Size: 67Course Fees: INR 35000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are many companies in our college which come for providing internship and most of them give the pre placement offers as well some of the companies are code nations , Amazon web services ,Adobe , uber

Placement Experience

Mostly every student of the college gets placed while most of them get a pre placement offer during their internship the placement percentage of the college is around 97% and the average of the college before COVID was 2500000 but due to recession it has been decreased

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees of the course is 515000 which consists of 6 semester and the tution fee in each sem is 35000 but if we are a student from OBC,sc or at category than we are provided scholarship by our respective states and the amount varies accordingly the hostel fe in the college is around 8000 and mess fee is 32000

Campus Life

In the college we have many technical and cultural fest and having different number of clubs and there are also many opportunities in sports as well so basically here we can develop our personality completely

Hostel Facilities

As we live in the most luxurious hostel of our campus so we are having all the things in our room and our rooms are also very good three students can easily accommodate in one room and rooms are also cleaned properly

Hostel Fee: INR 8000 per year

Admission

Should have completed bachelor in any stream which has maths as one of the subject in any year for this I have cleared nimcet exam which can be prepared within 2 to 3 months but for getting a good rank you should prepare for at least 6 months the exam is not too hard the entrance exam has main focus on maths whivh comprises 60% of the marks of the paper

A mini heaven on earth called NITK

After GATE exam, I applied to almost all top NITs like NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, NIT Warangal, NIT Calicut etc during CCMT counselling . I had also applied in IIT Dhanbad in COAP counselling. I got IIT Dhanbad in 8th round. I spoke to my coaching Sir, he had advised me to go for top 3 NITs rather than IIT Dhanbad. Since these three NITs are well established and offer better placement opportunities as compared to IIT Dhanbad which is relatively a new IIT. One needs to qualify GATE exam to get a shot at taking admission in IITs/NITs. Once you qualify the GATE exam you can then look at specific colleges cutoff for admission. I got NIT Surathkal in special round 1 which was held after 3 regular rounds. I preferred NIT Surathkal as compared to other NITs since its considered in top 3 NITs and also it's near my home as compared to NIT Trichy....Read More

LIFE AT NITK

I had applied for other IITs & NITs with different branches like IIT GUWAHATI and IIT BHU ,IIT ROORKEE,NIT TRICHY as i wasn't able to clear the cutoff according to their requirements i got NITK SURATHKAL which was the best that i got i choosed the other colleges because of their higher placement records more average salary packages and the most OG thing is that i wanted the IITian tag but i had also got a seat allocated in IIT BHU in metallurgy but i didnt wanted to take it and finally i chose NITK SURAATHKAL because it near to my hometown Banglore and the weather is very good there it has a privatre beach along with a light house many places to visit around NITK SURATHKAL mainly a very big campus of aroung 300 acres and multiple number of sports opportunities it has 2 gym .
