What Students Say

Likes

The behaviour of teachers. The way of their teachings is overall good.
The fee structure. It is very much afforadble for everyone.
The library. It has alots of journals and books which help in personal litreture as well as the syllabus guides.

Dislikes

Attendance. There is alot of pressure for getting least 60% attendance
Website. The quality of the official website is very poor.

It was my idea to go for this course.the enviornment influenced me to get in here.The teaching methods would be greatly upheld if different teachers comming for same subject would continue the same chapter as the last on did.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 3000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarships are available. The tution fee is much more affordable than other colleges teaching the same course. Like some scholarships begins from 12k per annumm and so on.I did not really did any campus employment and so didnt got any stipends though through college union they get their stipend.

Campus Life

There are severe clubs. There are festivals held like vasant utsav , saraswati puja, etc. The library in accessable by the students and i does have a range of journals available in there. The workshops held does have digital classroom tech to do smart vision enhancement of students attending those workshops.there are alot of sports and extracurricular activities offered.

Admission

It was on a merit system and there was no entrance exam. The cutoff was nearly 60% on 12th Boards exam.The application form could be found on college website.No applications fee charged.The difficulty level was moderate and exams arrived in every 3 months gap including internal and external.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Placement Experience:

At our college placements are good and many core companies or finance and IT are here for placements and intenrships as well. Average placements from what I have checked is around 4-5 lakhs per year for B.Com (Hons) students.

SAJC - From The Eye of a Student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.
