Likes

Here at campus everything is very good, but I ve visit other IITS also so the best part of my college is safety of myself and my things.
Here we are given a lot of opportunities to embrace ourselves in which field we want.
Also exposure to nice people is alot. A lot of new and different people we are able to meet.

Dislikes

Not much things are there which I dislike in campus. But mostly I don't like the curriculum of IIT DELHI.
And inter hostel movement of boys and girls are prohibited as in comparison to other IITs there is inter hostel movement is allowed.
Also here the judgment criteria for everything is your CGPA.

So, the NIRF ranking of IIT DELHI got me to choose this, as I didn't have any idea about my branch so, no prior business about that. The academic Curriculum here is very tough, in comparison to other colleges, and scoring here is really tough. The real-life world connection in studies is really less. And being and engineering students we are used to taking exams every now and then.

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 119000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

So as I am here there is not an increase in fees, how much it was at that time is what it is now. It is pretty much high, as tution fees including hostel accomodation is around 119000 pet semester and mess fees is around 38k per semester. There is on-campus internship and placement opportunities. For now, I haven't got any of them. Scholarship is for metorius students or those whose family income is less. I don't have any of them so I don't have much knowledge about scholarships.

Campus Life

So, as my life experienced campus in it, it has changed me alot. In my first year I have talked part in every club now currently I am involved in institute Drama team and a POR holder at NSS IIT DELHI and Physics and astronomy club. Throughout the year a lot of fests are organised, RDV the cultural fest of IIT DELHI is very famous for its event and technical fest TRYST now social fest KAIZEN.

Admission

I am currently studying in IIT DELHI. I got admission in this college after clearing JEE MAINS nad JEE ADVANCED. firstly we need to clear JEE MAINS , and around 1.5 lakh students are selected to appear for JEE ADVANCED and then 10k are selected. We need to go with counseling session of college and beach allotment. Our documents are verified online and then we come to campus and our documents are verified offline also. So, overall process is very smooth only you need to follow the deadlines strictly.

From Classrooms to Campus ; my dtu journey

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

NIT Delhi: A Balanced Blend of Academics, Opportunities, and Campus Life

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Great Placements but Campus needs improvements

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. Almost 90% students gets placed. The top companies are Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google and Adobe. The highest package is 53 lacks and the average package is 20 lacs. I plan to become a software engineer after i complete my course or study further.

A decent college

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students get hired, obviously, and they get a decent package. Highest package from our college is 52 LPA. Average package is 7-8 LPA. Highest package off campus is 1.2 Cr. Per annum.

IIT Delhi is close to my hometown and is ranked no. 2. It offers best faculty in Chemical engineering. IIT Bombay was rejected because of inability of getting a good branch there.
