CAMPUS OF PORT BLAIR

The course Master of Science in Marine biology offers you the vast studies of ocean.The first sem will get you adapted to the studies as it comprises Physical Oceanography, Chemical Oceanography, Biological Oceanography and Marine ecology. The course comprises four semesters with practical and theory exams and an individual project at last exams. The course can improve in the sense that it should include more field studies rather than classroom studies and exams and breaks should be given accordingly.

As the course comprises four semester each semester you have to pay tution fees. First semester you have to pay 24500, second semester 3500, Third 13700 and fourth 3500. The complete cost of education will be around 130000 including mess fees and exam fees. For students who study in Port Blair campus can avail Island Scholarship . Other scholarships are single child scholarship, National scholarship etc.

For Port Blair campus campus life is not much exciting as the main campus as we have limitations to do it Island environment. Majority of students here are hostellers so there is a hostel committee to solve issues and conduct programmes inside Hostel. Sports shuttle bat, cricket bat, volleyball, chess, carroms etc are provided and gym instruments are also here. There is also a library you can access upto 9 pm.

Hostel facility is much worse. Boys have a single hostel and girls have two hostel within the campus including mess. Toilets are Indian comprising 2 toilets and 2 bathrooms and a wash basin in each floor. Meal quality is also not good as it seems.In short the main shortcomings of Port Blair campus is its hostel facility.

The first step to begin with the application process to enter Pondicherry University is to take CUET exams.After results are published you can apply via site www.pondiuni.in and they will publish the trial list soon after following the first list second list and so on. Keep in mind that if you are under any reserved category you should provide the non cremylayer certificate at the time of application submission.The other certificates to be included is income, 10 th, plus two, caste and CUET mark sheet.
