A wonderful college

I have a deep interest in the field of commerce and finance. Bcom hons provides an opportunity for holistic development in this field and provides enough exposure to the real world problems. With emphasis on practical learning modules, the theory aspects of a subject are more easily understood by students. Also, this helps them to learn the application of their knowledge into the real world. The curriculum has given the power of giving marks to the subject teacher with a not so strong framework. This can easily lead to favouritism which should be avoided. The exams are quite easy but the time to learn a particular subject could be increased or the syllabus should be compressed.

There are many internship opportunities provided by the intership cell of the college. Companies like barclays and deloitte hire interns for roles of audting, taxation, and finance. This provides great exposure for all the students.

There are many opportunities for placement for students in their final year. Companies like ZS, Kmpg, Deloitte, LEK offer placement opportunities to the students of commerce, economics, maths and computer science. The highest package last year was around 20 lakhs. More than 50 percent of students get placed. Rest of them follow higher education. My plan after getting my degree is to get placed in a finance company

The admission fee for each year is about 25000. Separately an exam fee of about 2000 has to be paid for each semester. The college provides internship opportunities by partnering with corporate companies. Also, there are articles opportunities for the students pursuing CA.

There are more than 50 societies and clubs which cater to the social needs of the students, help them to network with like minded people, to follow their artistic and creative pursuits. The library is very big and offers a great variety of books. The computer labs too are modern and equipped with latest technology. There are ample sports facilities of both indoor and outdoor sports. There are student run society called enactus which works in the field of social entrepreneurship.

The eligibility criteria for admission was 775 marks out of 800 in cuet exam for bcom hons. The process was quite simple. The online portal of samarth facilitated all the procedures of admission. The exams are annually conducted which in my opinion is quite fair. The exam level is moderate and is the difficulty level is a little higher than the boards exams. The area where improvements can be made is that the process can be completed in a quicker time considering the digitised infrastructure. Other than that, the process is very transparent and just
