Likes

Even though the Port Blair campus is small, it has very peaceful atmosphere. There is no rush to the class as the hostels are located very near to the class rooms
The department is good with experienced faculties who are always willing to help us.And the lab facilities are also good even though they are having limited facilities
The students of the university are very helpful even the seniors and research scholars. Even though people are from different part of the country, sharing different customs, they are always willing to help you

Dislikes

Placement is one of the main issue that is facing. Like the other science field, the department is not providing any placement for the students
Powe cut is one of the main problem that have been facing in the Port Blair. So it is also effecting the campus. So many times the power went off during classes create difficulties
More events and fests should be conducted in the campus like as that of the main campus.The students of the Port Blair campus is missing the events that had been conducting in the main campus

Course Curriculum Overview

I am a person who loves the sea and ocean so I really wanted to study more about the sea, that's why I mainly choose this course. The course has various opportunities. After completing the course you can go for PhD by clearing JRF or you can opt teaching and also you can work and research in various Marine institutes all over the world. Don't expect the faculties to spoon feed you, it is PG and you need to do your things and prepare notes

Class Size: 31Course Fees: INR 26000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for 1st semester is 23000 , for 2nd semester it is 3000, for 3rd semester, it is 13700 and for the 4th semester, it is 3000. But for every semester you need to pay the mess fees, which seems to be a little bit expensive as the course is offered at off campus of Pondicherry University at Andaman and Nicobar Islands. They are providing scholarship of 1000 per month to every student who don't have any other scholarship but the amount will only be recieved at the end of the course and also topper of each semester gets scholarship

Campus Life

The campus life is really good but no so vibrant like the main campus.But within the limited facilities and students, the programmes conducted here are so good. The campus has a well developed library with many books and journals. The classrooms are also very good. The university also have several clubs and also conducting several activities to enhance the students

Hostel Facilities

The hostels are so good in the university. Rooms are provided with bed, table and chair and two wardrobe. The food is just ok. We can't tell it is so bad or it is good. It is just ok ok. The registration process for hostel is done in the university office itself and the procedure was also easy

Hostel Fee: INR 24000 per year

Admission

The admission process was through CUET PG entrance.The eligibilty of course is that one who have bachelor's in Zoology, Botony, Fisheries field can opt the course. Once you apply and write the CUET PG exam, apply to the university with your preferable course with the CUET score

Pondicherry university: A perfect blend of academics, campus life, and affordability.

Placement Experience:

at pondicherry university ,students become eligible for campus placements from 3rd semister.companies like tcs,infosys,wipro, visit campus offer jobs in software development and testing.the highest packagge is around 4-6lpa.70-80 percdnt students get placed.after completing my degree i plan secure a good job in it.

Studying in a vacation town

Course Curriculum Overview:

The most important point is it's similarity to NET CSIR joint examination. After the end of 3 semesters, if you study properly, you will be able to solve 70% csir c section with accuracy. As laboratory is not prioritized, you will have to struggle for real life experience. But inside info: you can tag along with scholars to get the hands on experience. Frequency of examination is too much with all the internals and all. Difficulty level is manageable as per masters.
