Likes

Some of the faculty was very supportive .
Social life was very good. If you have freiends then you can enjoy.
weekly we got 2 holidays. also festival holidays are also given

Dislikes

campus placement, cause comapnies are not taking students cause of off campus.
Sports clubs are not supportive. Equipments are not given properly.
Time limitation. As an engineering college student should not be bouned time

Course Curriculum Overview

I didn't liked the course as I was intrested in coumputer science and I opted for Electronics and Communication because of some issues. As i am preparing for other field it did't helped me on the real life applications.The exams were taken very frequenty and was very difficult.

Class Size: 147Course Fees: INR 356000 per year

Internships Opportunities

College provided internship oppotrunites , but the comapnies was not much. also the comanies take very less number of students. Average stipened was ariund 15000, for many job roles like data analyst, frontend development, backend development, fullstack development also sales comapnies also were available for internship.

Placement Experience

Placement is goood in our college comapnies come but this year due to recession the placement was not up to mark. Also competetion is increasing day by day so it is difficult to get placed through campus placement but if you have skills you can take placement eaisly.

Fees and Financial Aid

tution fees was approx 1.5 lakhs per semester, hostel and mess fees was 16000, exam fees was 10000 and development fees 8000. I was eligile for state scholarship and applied for it per year. College provided campus placement but due to recession this year placement was not good

Campus Life

Infrastructure was not good but the social life is very good. Some of the faculty members was very friendly, overall my social life was good every semester the college organises fest. multiple clubs are there

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilty was very good mess food was good as compared to other mess as it was controlled by student. Hostel was cheap so it was not worth to take PG or rented rooms. Menu of the mess was good as it is decided by the students itself

Hostel Fee: INR 32000 per year

Admission

The admission process was simple it took the average percentile of 10th, 12th and JEE after qualifying the cut-off the student can apply for further admission process. Application form was available on the website. Yes there are some reservation criteria.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate the course curriculum decent because it cover the basic engineering concepts that made me choose this course and it prepare us okay for real-world or higher study, but still more practical work and updated teaching method needed, and exams come mostly every semester with some internals which are moderate tough but manageable with regular study. There are some teachers who teach very well and have good teaching methods.

A Real Student Experience at DEC

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is okay and the basics are covered well, which is one reason I choose this branch, but some subjects feel outdated and not fully connected to real industry work. It prepare us for further studies more than practical jobs. Exams come every semester with internals in between, difficulty is moderate but few papers become tricky. I think more practical topics, updated labs and better teaching methods will make the curriculum more useful...

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

Placement Experience:

One of my colleges best features is its placements program, which offers fantastic chances for students to launch their carrers. In the fifth and sixth semesters, students are prepared with aptitude training sessions, group discussions, and resume construction. About 85% of qualified pupils were placed during the previoes school year. Compared to core engieering fields, placements rates were marginally higher in IT branches.

Experience of an undergrad

For taking admission in this college you should must give jee mains exams,as this college is now lister under josaa and csab therefore maximum of it seats and alloted through this counsellings,some of the vacants seats are filled by the internal counselling conducted by the bit mesra considering jee mains rank.I got admission to this college through jee mains rank in the csab 1st round into the btech in computer science and engineering.the application forms of jee mains can be found on the NTA website with its own form fees for the exam.In the jee mains reservation is provided according to the category,the exam level is moderate to hard the exam is conducted twice in an year most probably jan and april.the internal counselling forms can be found on bit mesra website after jee mains exams. the cutoff ranges from 88 percentile above for general ,80 + for obc as well as for Ews and 70+ for sc/st....Read More

1.The admission process is easy. You should have to appear in Jee mains examination then You have to sit in councelling process of JOSSA Or CSAB the merit list came after that you have to pay a fix amount of admission fee to book your seat and after some day to have to came to college for document verification. 2.The college also give privilage to jharkhand obc student, student should have JEE mains score card and have obc certificate which is issued by SDO only.
