Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is affiliated with PTU(Punjab Technical University). The theory along with the lab practicals makes your academics stronger overall. There are 2 mid semester exams and 1 final semester exam per semester. The 2 mid semesters contribute as your internal in finals. Teaching methods are a mix of class learning as well as lab practicals. Certainly the curriculum requires updations. There is very little association of curriculum with what's actually required in the industry world. Teaching needs to be more practical based instead of just rote learning.
Placement Experience
After the sixth semester, students are allowed to sit for placements. Average package is around 7-8lpa. Maximum package this year has been 70lpa in a USA based company. 70-80% students get placed. Usually tier 3 companies visit here.
Fees and Financial Aid
The odd semester fee is somewhere around 55k to 60k. The even semester fee is somewhere around 30k to 35k making a total of around 90k for one semester for BTech CSE branch. There are no additional costs to this. Reservations and scholarships(post matric scholarships)are provided to reserved classes and certain amount of seats are reserved for them.
Campus Life
Overall campus life is not very interesting. Events do take place in the college, particularly more in the even semester. There is very active participation of college students is north zone youth fest. Lots of clubs for public speaking, theatre, dance, music, quiz etc are there in the college where students somewhat enjoy. Sports and NCC is quite a talk in the college. Library is the wow factor here. Every book is mostly available and there's an e-learning section also.
Admission
The admission is through 12th board marks and/or jee mains score. Depending upon this, you get the stream. Applications can be filled either online or even in the college when u visit it. There is usually higher cut off for CSE branch.
