The course curriculum and the labs are good. Also, it offers e-library and also various books are there in the library too

Excellent. Top MNC companies along with medium/small based companies generally come to our college to hire students in their respective organization.

You need to clear the WBJEE/JEE(main) entrance examination in order to get admission in this college. So, once you cleared the entrance examination you need to appear to the JEE counselling in order to admit in this college. Also note the college offers 5% management quota admissions where you just need to appear in the JEE exams.

Shaping My Future: A Comprehensive Review of College Life and Academics

Placement Experience:

After 7th semester companies started coming and there is different criteria for different companies like some company have criteria for more then 8.5 cgpa will be able to seat only in their placement conducting it is totally based on company preferences. The highest package was 9 lpa and average package was 3 lpa. Around 60 percent student get placed in my department.

Placement Experience:

Here students become eligible to sit in campus placement from 6th semester. Many companies come here. The average package here is 5 lakhs and the highest here is 20 lakhs it's gone.Here 95% of the students get placement.My plan is to do M.Tech after completing my degree.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of my college is very strong.From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements.There are around 50 companies visited in the college such as TCS,Intel. Microsft. Deloitte,etc.205 students are placed in TCS in year 2019. 415 students are placed in campus placement last year. Maximum CTC was 25 lacs/pa and average CTC was 5.5 lacs/pa previous year.After Jadhavpur University,the average CTC of the college is higher than IEM. Above 95% placements for IT,CSE and ECE students.There are around 55-60% placements in other department.My plans are doing some great things after getting the degree.

Don't be a minimum guy, Choose GKCEM

It’s Greater Kolkata College of engg and mgmt. under JIS group is one of the best colleges around for students. Though my department of Mechanical Engineering is favorite for its labs, facilities, faculties and it is as good in other sections also. Certainly, our college provides adequate infrastructure and quality teaching of the faculty members here. This college is affiliated to MAKAUT University and many top companies visit the campus during placements. The senior are quite helpful to the juniors.Its an anti ragging campus. Infrastructure is quite good but not the best out there.Faculty percentage is little less at least what i felt throught my academic session but atleast better than other colleges.Labs are all in working condition with lab technicians.College offers some workshops and webinars very pften to allow students to indulge to get insight into industry relevant ideas....Read More
