Likes

For cheap rate they provide good and variety food
Hostel is really good and secure. Each hostel have security
There is no restrictions in hostels. And reading room is open till 3:00am on working days

Dislikes

There is more distance from hostel to department
Because of the distance.. They must provide bus on timing.
Lack of faculties make the classes combined

Course Curriculum Overview

Mathematics is always a good option. It have various opportunities. If u want to know more about mathematics you can take research section or else you can take job in bank. And data analysis. Mathematics really have more and more fields

For mathematics statistics and computer science they will not provide any internship. But for Library science, MBA and andropolagy they provide internship through the faculties.. And also in biotechnology department

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm OBC category so i can apply for Scholarship named Egrands. And also if we have 1st rank or minimum 3rd rank we will get the scholarship. And I'm from kerala so for students who studying outside kerala also have scholarship

Campus Life

Campus life in Pondicherry university is really amazing.. We get friends from another state.. Another language. We can learn their language and also we can improve our English easily.. There is no restrictions in the hostels

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is really good. One room is allotted for 3 peoples. For phd scholars,pg students,integrated students there is different different hostels.. And daily people come and clean the floors and the washrooms

Hostel Fee: INR 1000 per year

Admission

The admission is taken by an endurance exam named cuet. It is not much harder. For mathematics we have to attend the exam for physics chemistry and mathematics. We have to score minimum 120 marks for the admission.

Interview Experience

Nahh there is no group discussion or interview but we have to write the entrance exam named cuet. It is not that much hard exam but average hardness. For me mathematics exam is easy and chemistry and physics is little harder than mathematics

Pondicherry University - The green campus

Placement Experience:

There is no placement history for our course. The main department offering placement in the campus is mba . They have the highest placement history . Also MCA people have placements . Companies like tcs , hdfc bank etc visit. Approximately 50% students get placement. Since there is no placement in our department , I'm planning to take masters.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am not impressed any curriculum of that college. That is girls college,feel free so only I choose that college. Otherwise curriculum is good. They give more teaching methods that is very helpful for dull students.

Glimpse of Pondicherry university

Course Curriculum Overview:

I loved my domain to do this course and i have much interest in learning more computer science subjects. I would suggest some smart classes for this curriculum to emphasis more knowledge. The exams are easier but sometimes they are comparatively difficult.

The curriculum are very bad for some times ther eis no leave between exams and there is no holidays and you should take some of the softcore subjects outside the department so you should change Time table accordingly

"Pondi is the best"

Placement Experience:

Among the ten semesters of the complete course after 4th year (7-8 semester) we are eligible for campus placements. The average package for students from company is almost 5 lakh per annum. 10 percentage among the students are only getting placements. After completing degree and post graduation I want to increase my teaching skills and want to move forward based on that.

I applied to Jamia Millia Islamia for biotechnology which I didn't got due to my low score in entrance exam and I also tried to get into lovely professional University which I cancelled due to the high fees. Then my next option was Pondicherry University, the prime reason I came here is because of the course. Clearing CUET examination is required for the admission. Physics chemistry and biology are the required subjects for the entrance exam. Actually, the admission process was really smooth and fast at Pondicherry University, compared to other central universities, such as DU, JNU, BHU and HCU. So I also applied for criminology and police administration in Sardar Patel university but I fell ill during the time of admission. Also the area is very hard to reach and the locomotive facilities are not that great over there. Climatic conditions are also bad compared to PU. Thus I finalised on PU for the same reasons.
