My own branch: Quantitative Economics and Data Science.
The campus area is very picturesque. Heaven for nature lovers.
The sports facility provided are very good.

Dislikes

The hostel facility is below par and need reconnaissance.
The library does not have quality books other than academic books.
The college management is rather sluggish in their act of work.

Course Curriculum Overview

Given the present scenario of the world. Being a part of such a course is the making of a greater picture. The practical application of the course is highly commendable. The way it maps itself with real world problems, is enlightening.

Internships Opportunities

Our department has a few MoUs signed with a consultancy company named Adrosonic. And also with different overseas colleges. Thus there are a good internship opportunities available, with provision of good experience.

Placement Experience

From seventh semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Adrosonic Microsoft, Google, Infosys, Wipro and TCS visit the college. Highest package - 54 lakh, Average-12 lakh. 85 percentage.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course is an Integrated Master of Science, with an exit option after 3rd year, providing you with a BSc. Degree. The total fee structure is approximately 12 lakhs. The college definitely provides GP Birla Scholarship for highly meritorious students. The college provides with good campus employment opportunities.

Campus Life

The college consists of 30 cultural and social clubs. So these things keep you engaged. Hence the college life is rather entertaining. The infrastructure of the college is sufficient enough to motivate you to carry on with your engagements.

Hostel Facilities

This is one area the college needs to improve heavily. Though the food is good keeping in view the standards of other colleges of the country. You are provided with single room accommodation after 1st year.

Admission

My admission was through the JoSAA/CSAB counseling, after giving JEE Mains exam. As it is the prima facie for getting through the course of Quantitative Economics and Data Science. The application details for the course is provided in the website of BIT Mesra and also JoSAA/CSAB counseling.

Like everyone knows in which carriculum they are interested ,similarly i know i have a keen interest in my subject i.e. physics . We can't see physics as a theoretical and mathematical aspect but in our daily Life we use to experienc it . Like if something is fell down there is a reason behind that is gravity .we use to experience physics in our daily life . Some teacher use to make us feel for that subject but someone make us bore sometime. It happens rarely but sometime it happens. So i suggest them to change some activity Like teach with more energyso tha we can't get bored. Sometime we get very lengthy paper in the exams so everyone have to prepare before the examination with high speed.

A Transformative Journey : My College Experience

Placement Experience:

The campus placement in our college is held after the completion of all 6 semesters and there is very limited number of companies that come over to offer placement but off campus placements starts from 6 semester onwards. The companies visited were Vedanta for graduate trainee offering 1.40 - 4.65 LPA Tata Power for graduate trainee offering 1.90 - 3.69 LPA Only 40% students got placements. Many students didn't take part as the packages very low & even the perks were not so good. I planned to do higher studies in M.Sc. As the subject was very intriguing I preferred pursuing more knowledge.

A geniune review: BIT-M

Placement Experience:

BITM is known for great placements. Campus placement is good . Average package is 15 lpa. CS -19 lpa Mnc- 15 lpa Ece- 15lpa Mech- 10lpa BITM offer better placement than most of NITs. Many students crack off campus placement. CS highest- 1.86cr MNC highest- 89lpa.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Admission experience is obviously good because why would a clg not welcome a laxmi lol jk....Read More

GPAT score is what taken into account and in 12th 60% or more is mandatory. Also JEE scores are considered but again baby IITs level of score is required and therefore students mostly come through GPAT here....Read More

Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
