Course Curriculum Overview

Veermata Jijabai is the best government college for engineering in Mumbai after IIT-Bombay. The course curriculum is best updated to the modern times and the machinery and equipments are too updated with the technology. It does prepare us for the real-world.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 170000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship opportunities unlike the final placement opportunities is quite limited. It is provided only to the top performing students. However, in the Production engineering course, it is provided to every student in the 7th semester for entire 6 months period.

Placement Experience

The placement process is managed by the TPO department. The placement of the college is 100%. The highest package of 2023 was 62lpa and average package was 13.7lpa. The college also provides internship opportunities to the bright students

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee includes the term fees of the two semesters. It includes all the fess. It includes the tuition fees, library fees. There is only a minor hike in the fees when we pass from one year to the next. Financial assistance and scholarship is available.

Campus Life

The campus is amazing. It is situated in the central Mumbai and hence it is very easily accessible from all major railway statioons and lines. There are clubs and committees providing opprtunities to the students to have an event management experience.

No as i head from the Senior The Placement is Some what average . Not too much low not too much high. The average Package of this year 2025 was around 17 lakhs which is decent . The highest package was 45 lakhs. Around 51 percent was placed in this year. Major Companies that hired are Amazon,Bosch, Juspay, Walmart and many more. From the starting of Fourth Year Company Starts visiting college Campus. As Today 9 Sep 2025 One Company has held the interview which in which around 5 student were hired.

Placement are best of D Y Patil College of engineering and technology kolhapur. After 6 th semester you are eligible to do internship and give interview for job offers. I Actually don't applied for any other college my preference from first was VJTI only however I do add SPIT on my 2nd preference I don't get rejected I just choose VJTI because it has a great background than any other college also it's location is quite good to get admission students must give an exam name mht cet which is Maharashtra state common entrance test through which they get admission in my course and many other once result is out the admission has to be done through cap round cutoff for my course is between 95-99%+ile depends on various factors like reservation and etc etc overall admission process takes some days but it is worthy...Read More

Detailed and Honest Review of VJTI - One of The Oldest Engineering Colleges in India.

Talking about other colleges I applied for, I registered for JOSAA and CSAB both. Through JOSAA I got the IIT Dharwad, since I got the BS plus MS programm there I regestered for CSAB, through CSAB I secured seat into iiit Bhopal cse. Because it is a newly established iiit, it does have poor facilities. Then through CAP counselling I got seat at VJTI. Then Ieft iiit Bhopal and joined VJTI. Today I think that, the decision taken by me was absolutely right. Apart from this I also applied for IIST Thiruvananthpuram but due to my 12th board score I could not make it. As IIST has a criteria that student should secure minimum 75% in board exams. IIST does not have 20%ile criteria where all iits,nits and gftis has....Read More

VJTI makes you tough!!

Why would anyone in Mumbai will apply for any other college when VJTI which is top prefence college through CET is there. Yes, IITs are everyone's dream but beyond that I even got a birth in NIT of my choice but leaving Mumbai was definitely not worth anything.
