What Students Say

Likes

It is situated in it hub Pune and the coding environment is excellent
Academic pressure is low as compared to all other iiit
Mess facility and hostel facility is available at lower price

Dislikes

IIIT Pune don't have its own campus, so we have to manage campus with a small building
There is no sports facilities available and no ground for sports
Fees is too high and students don't get much free environment in college as compared to others iiit

Course Curriculum Overview

We have 9:30 to 1:30 class three times a week and 2 time 9:30 to 4:30 between there is luch break of 1 hour and on every Saturday and Sunday there is a holiday .I don't like the frequency of exam as it happing frequently with 1 months

Placement Experience

Placement is good and our students have secured good intership and placement in recent years, Recently Company come for placement are nomura , accenture,yogabyte and many more . Recently ncdia came to our college and take 25 students for placement

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearwise fees is 248500 first year and for next three years tuition fees is 228650 per year The hostel fees is first year it is 65650 and for next three year it will be 60000 per year The mess fees is 45000 per year All categories of student have same fees

Campus Life

Campus Life is not too good but you can make your life good as you make that types of friends that will surely make you campus Life rememberable , for sports we went to another college ground there we play sports

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is good hostel rooms are well maintained we have seperate toilet and bathroom for four student. A room for four student is available only and the mess is good but the food is not enough well sometimes we have to manage it from outside

Hostel Fee: INR 104500 per year

Admission

I applied for iiit guwahti and iiit jabalpur and iiit bhopal but it seems good that iiit Pune is best option as iiit bhopal also doesn't have its own campus and guwahti is far enough from my location and and I don't have enough rank to get into iiit jabalpur

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is 1:40 and faculty to student relations are good and both students and teachers are cooperative the best faculty is my point of view is jatin majithia engineering calculus teacher.jatin sir teaches us maths and they elaborate each topic and until each student doubt has been cleared

Night Life

There is no cafeteria no gym no night out available you can enjoy campus Life in your hostel only But my best hangout places is Sinhagad fort in Pune you have many beautiful places to visit Pune is good for nightout and hangout

Firstly I do not have enough rank to get into iit jabalpur btech cse branch and the next reason is the it hub Pune the opportunity in Pune is more enough than in jabalpur so I prefer iiit Pune over iiit jabalpur as I get ece in iiit jabalpur

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. IIIT Pune Detailed Review

This College was on my top priority as It is in the city Pune . The Emerging IT city in India . As the Name is IIIT it also attracts me . At the time of Counselling i have filled Branches in ECE of NIT and CS of IIIT . Initially i was alloted IIIT Bhopal but inn the 5th round IIIT Pune was alloted . My Parent was happy as Pune is Nice city. My College Infrastructure is Good but not as expected. If we compare my College to Private than it is far Good and all the facilites are nice. Yeah we can say that we are new but we can say that we are not less than New NIts. For Entrance in IIIT Pune You need to qualify the JEE Main Exam with Good Percentile. My experience of iiit pune

I also applied to cse at IIIT jabalpur and allahbad, and chemical engineering at nit Warangal but I couldn't get a seat there. I was also getting ece in iiit jabalpur and cse in spit mumbai but I decided to take iiit pune cse over it.
