Remarks

I wanted to take admission for Aeronautical Engineering. In Maharastra only two colleges provide this course on CET cap round. I checked the reviews of both colleges from collegedunia app an I found better reviews for Annasaheb Dange College Of Engineering And Technology, Ashta. Hence I gave my first preference to this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The first year curriculum was good.In first year the syllabus is common for all the students from different branches. There are two groups(physics and chemistry) for semesters in 1st year. There is chemistry group for aeronautical engineering in 1st sem and physics group in second sem.The faculties are good. Most of them have done Ph d and Masters degree in particular subject. The faculties are very helpful in clearing doubts of students. The lectures and practicals held every working days. Practicals are taken everyday for 2 hours. The lectures are taken time to time.As this is an autonomous institute affiliated to shivaji university the teachers are always trying to update students with new knowledge which is required for industries for future placements.Teachers always focused on students for their improvement in skills and knowledge. Beside of this there is Professional communication coarse which helps students to develop there personality. The course involve preparation regarding to job interview. The 1st year coarses involve basic information about all the courses, so as to student will get basic knowledge about all the fields. Coming to the second year, the course involves basic subjects related to the Aeronautical Engineering.Practicals and theory classes are well scheduled.Third year courses involves the core subjects and also teaches us the softwares which are asked for the campus.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement is quite good in college. The companies like p3, Gloint aerospace and capgemini recruit the students from Aeronautical department. The students are also placed in TCS if their coding skills are good.

College Events

3.5

Campus life is good. Many technical and non-technical events are organized by each department in which any student can participate. The event involves robo drive, quiz competition, Essay writing, Events related to placement, IPL auction, some funny game events. Aeronautical Engineering department organise ASTRA which is a non-technical event.Sneha is organized by the institution which involves sports and cultural activities. The Innovation is national level event organized by college. There is no disparity between seniors and juniors. When it comes to sports all play together. The senior guide and encourage Juniors to participate in events. There are different clubs which are formed by the students. The clubs invlove natures club, astronomy club Gears club and chess club. Each club tries to improve their club by organizing different club related events. The interested students can join this clubs.

Fees and Financial Aid

According to me the fee structure is quite cheap as compared to other colleges which provide Aeronautical Engineering course. The fee for one year for General category is nearly 104000, for OBC nearly 51000 and For ST/SC is nearly 18000(for each year fee structure is changed). All the other charges are included in this fees. If we are not getting admission through cap round then additional charges may be applied by the institution. We can pay the fees by bank transfer or cash. I have availed government scholarship (Tuition fee) as I belong to ST category. But there are scholarship to students belonging to other categories like EBC And other government scholarships.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus is quite good. It has central library which has all books required for Engineering courses. The campus has a sports complex which have gym, badminton court, carrom, chess, table tennis, and music room.

Hostel Facilities

3

I lived in hostel in first year but I left hostel in second year. Hostel is quite cheaper as compared to other college hostels. Each room is shared by 3 students If admission are more then it is shared by 4 students. There are total 3 college hostels for boys and two hostels for girls. The 2 boys hostels are within campus and one is outside the campus. The old boys hostel has common toilet and bathroom(8 toilets and 8 bathrooms on each floor) while the new boys hostel has attached toilet and bathroom. The old boys hostel is cheaper as compared to new boys hostel. The average fee for old Hostel was 12000(2017) without including mess charges.
