Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Accounts and finance are totally relevant in this current world today and getting to study them in depth gives u a lot of exposure in the real world. The field has a lot of opportunities and I personally understand my subjects well and have a lot of interest in it. I personally feel that doing an internship should be mandatory from the first year which would make the subjects more interesting and students will be more aware of their field. My college shri shikshayatan has excellent faculty under Bcom hons.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement cell is decent ,neither great nor bad. Companies like kpmg ,airtel , wipro etc come for the college placements ,honestly only 10% student with good cgpa + good profile can avail it , so dont really wait for the college placement for job opportunities, try with different areas to get placed. Placement commences from 5th semester. I am planning to continue my CA degree after college plus CFA along with it.

Fees and Financial Aid

In shri shikshayatan the course fee for bcom hons is 27500 per semester. In reality , Scolarship, financial assistance is almost negligible ,very few students may avail it .There is a fine scope for campus placement and the average package is 2-3lakh.

Campus Life

1.5

The campus life is really boring. Shri shikshayatan doesn't give a great experience on campus ,there are various clubs but there is 80% of students who are not involved in these areas. It has decent infrastructure but not a huge campus. The library is decent and you can avail books with ease. Extracurricular activities are present in college but in comparison to most colleges I personally feel our college doesn't stand at a great level.

Admission

I gave cuet exam aiming for the north campus of Delhi University in the field of accountancy, finance hons. My parents were strict on the fact that they'd be sending me to Delhi only if I got into tier 1 north campus colleges. Regardless of all efforts I scored 598/800 and had the chance of south campus or less. The cut-off was high and required 780+minimum for the general category which is reduced according to the sub-category. The difficulty level varies from different subjects and requires a student to prepare themselves by giving multiple mocks

Interview Experience

5

No ,the whole admission process was based on results of higher secondary . There was no interview rounds and the last cut off goes till 80% for bcom hons for general category which may vary from course to course and different caste .

Other Applied Colleges

Scottish Church College | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] {Hons.} (Accounting and Finance)

Shri shikshayatan college has less attendance requirement as compared to scottish church , i am also pursuing CA so my current college gives me benefit of time management.

The aspects of the curriculum which really influenced my decision was building the foundation of accounting to holding expertise, which was aligned with my goal of studying CA. The curriculum used to be upto date which give us a real time exposure. The exam used to take place in every 3 months.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is average , I chose this course because I wanted to do an honours degree and I'm from commerce background so my first pick was B.Com . They really put efforts to prepare students for well future , as I said earlier some teachers are genuinely very good helpful supporting and good at what they do . Something they need to approve is the 70% attendance criteria, I think they need to understand not every student is just persuing graduation they are doing some other courses or jobs etc so they can't maintain 70% attendance . The frequency of timing is average

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum is Comprehensive, focused equally on Academics and Practical Exposure.. I chose because of that extra year of research I can choose to do in my final year (4th year) of graduation and I'll have an Hons. Degree at the end of 4th year of my college... Practical insights makes sure we are being trained to tackle practical world and academic knowledge ensures we are eligible to apply for further Education.. I will say more focus on Practical Exposure and a little extra focus on Sports May Take This Curriculum to a different level..
