Course Curriculum Overview

I will rate the course 8/10. Curriculum is very modern it covers all the aspects from Physical geography, Human geography to Geographic Information System. Teachers can teach with more case studies and activities rather then theotical lecture but many teachers are very experienced in their field. Exams takes place at every 5-6 months and level of examination is moderate.

Placements are in moderate range , students of 5th and 6th semester are eligible for the same. Companies like Genpact, oberoi groups etc. visits the college. With Highest Package - 27 lakh , Average Package - 7-8 lakh. 50-60 student got placed out off 90-100 who applied . My plans are to run my own business

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee is very less. It will be highest in the 1st Year and Lowest in the final year. You can avail scholarship like NSP ( National Scholarship Portal ) which gives you 10k approx. per year etc. Vice Chancellor Internship is the best internship which gives you glimpse the inner workings of the university. With the stipend of 10k per months for 2 months. & Other opportunities are also available.

Campus Life

My overall experience in amazing, My college gives me opportunity to organize the annual fest of the college and department.which held in the month of February or March ever year. More then 8k books are available in the library with up-to-date magazine, newspaper etc. Not so much facilities in the classroom. Extracarricum is moderate of the campus. There are more then 10 clubs , societies which helps you to nurture your skills.

Admission

Admission was quite easy. All process have been done on the website of University of Delhi with registration id. If you score more then 90% then you can be eligible for the course. Reservation Can be availed at the time of admission only. No other benefits are there. Exams takes place after every 5-6 months .

Truth About Hidden IPCW (DU)

Placement Experience:

Since i am 2nd year myself, hearing from seniors, seeing placement cell activities and reading reports, placement at ipcw are decent but far from perfect. The placement drive is not as huge or reliable as some commerce Acc. to the nirf report, for ug courses out of 1204 eligible students 118 got placed, which is roughly 9-10, for pg course, out of 100 eligible students only 6 got placed. Median package for UG was 6.20 lakhs per annum, and for pg is 6.7 lakhs per annum. In earlier years (2022-23) , median UG package was higher. The highest package went to 23 lakhs per annum which was quite impressive. It was from DE Show and co., Wipro, Capgeminie etc. there are regular recruiters like DE. Shaw abd co.,Wipro, Capegemini, Godrej properties, Sirion Labs etc. What i feel personaly as an eco hons. student unless i build extra i cant really expect placement. Masters and competetive exams are next option

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

During my application process, CUET was introduced and there were so many confusions at the moment and I think somewhere I didn't fill my preference sheet well. I didn't want Dyal singh for sure, but I think it was written in my fate to be here and I a here now so I am utilising the good parts of the college as much as I can. Dyal Singh College Review

I wanted to apply to Delhi university and you had to appear in CUET. The course eligibility included subjects such as accountancy, English, maths and economics. No cutoffs were released before appearing for the test and even before filling out preference sheet for colleges. Application form was available on the official website of CUET.
